While I may have jumped the gun too quick, after some mulling and talking with some family, I was convinced to sort of linger around DA. I'm STILL heated. I’m still extremely frustrated with DA’s take on AI art, and their ridiculous ‘opt in’ feature that would have screwed over artists that had lost their accounts, passed away, or had WAY too many pieces to manually opt out of. Deleting my gallery seemed like the quickest and safest way to protect my art from them, as I simply didn’t want to give them a chance to abuse it. I'm still skeptical and wary of how long this may last, however.

With the encouragement, I’m looking at this as, sort of, fresh start? I had a lot of extremely old art buried deep within the belly of the beast, and it might be refreshing to start new at a higher skill level. I’ve been arting for over 11 years now at least.

I’ll probably start posting art here again after New Years, as I want to observe how things unfold, but again, I have plenty of other links where you can find me.

I don’t tolerate AI bullshit, the unusable format of this website, and the mismanagement of the staff, and developers and it’s been a long time coming with ditching DA. I'm incredibly frustrated and saddened by this decision as I've been with DA for 11 years, and it's been a constant, and a sort of vault for my artwork. I appreciate the years of support from you, but I’ll be jumping ship and searching fer greener pastures. I’ll be deleting all 700+ of my artwork as well, as unfortunate as that sounds, because I simply cannot trust DA to not do something scumbaggy with it when I'm not looking.

I will keep the account so no one impersonates me, but activity will drastically decrease.

MAYBE I'll return. Maybe not. Its bittersweet.
