Just a quick update:
The issue with my work being used on the Syfy show, Eureka, has been settled in a professional and friendly manner. :)
I talked with the producers earlier today and we were able to come to an agreement on licensing my work in that particular episode as well as permission/work possibly for future episodes. They were completely understanding of the situation, and noted that the usage of my work without my permission was not intentional of the visual effects team. Glad to have that resolved smoothly!

The way they've implemented it looks like crap in my opinion... not even transparent. If they would have just hired me, I could have made something much better and more customized for the scene.
