In the deep by z-a-i-n-a In the deep by z-a-i-n-a
Nobody wanted your dance,
Nobody wanted your strange glitter, your floundering
Drowning life and your effort to save yourself,
Treading water, dancing the dark turmoil,
Looking for something to give - Ted Hughes

I've had a very stressful day but I am happy that I get to express myself through my art. And this is what I came up with, I hope it inspires everyone!

my first look -- she is a genie trapped in a bottle who is waiting to get out, hehe

nice skin tone and the hair is so natural too.
The creases on the dress -- flawless
Light source from left make the painting alive...
(judging 'left' as how we read L2R)

This is sooooooo beautiful. Zaina your art is sheer perfection and truly flawless, just as Digira said. Seriously this needs to be in a art museum. It's THAT good. And like I've told you before, the world's most creative people created their best works through tragedy and pain and you've shown more then once you too are capable of doing that.

Stress and pain can produce and generate amazing works of art.

And channeling it, letting it out, can be a victory over keeping it inside. At least if we get it out, our pain can inspire others. Keeping it inside, and letting it stifle us, can do no good to anyone.

As for the piece itself, it's technically flawless in my opinion. The movement of her skirt and her hair suggests suspension in water. Even though she's trapped, it does not seem like she's suffering. The lighting is beautiful, I especially like how the light hits her arms and hands. Very soft and warm. Her left hand is perfectly-executed, too.

Eyes closed, the turn of her mouth. She's in a world of her own, dancing for herself, making the most of her confinement. A++.

Love it.  Really, really love it.

...:o (Eek) Ah he beat me to the interpretation. I'm impressed. Nod
I'm not sure if there is anything more I could add, but since,
I'm gifted in this area...well...I may still be able to dig deep. Hehe...Shintarou Kisaragi (Grin) [V5]
I could use a good challenge here goes...^^

In the deep, is everything that digira had shared. Nod
The color green can be seen as a prominent color choice here, as it is often
associated with the sentiment of healing. The dark color hue, and it's subtle
green color, shares a sense of inner sanctuary. It is indeed her confinement
like digira said. I see that too. ^^ I chose the word sanctuary though, because
of the style of the flowers in the glass. In some ways it reminded me of the glass windows
of a Catholic church. But at the same time, shares a much closer to home type of feel with
kitchen ware designs. The tiny bubbles shares a sense of losing one self in your inner world.
And while it is sort of a sense of captivity within a glass, in another perspective, it can also be
seen as an inner sanctuary. The word just kept popping into my mind each time when I see the pic again.
Stepping back a little rather than moving in deeply, I now see a broader image. There is the sentiment
of art being portrayed as a favorite drink, worth getting lost or drunk in the realm of creativity.
A momentary, escape from the usual grind, and into a much surreal dimension, that is devoid of time itself.
It is a hint of eternity or a hint of a lofty realm, of dreams that are yet to manifest. The bubbles rising are like
a simmer of determination, a sense of faith and patience, of knowing that a time will come, when everything
you have strived for will pay off. Or more like a declaration that the dance is already yours, like a magnet, all
things hoped for will gravitate towards you, meeting you halfway as you reach out from within. The bottle
is a personal elixir of self motivation. With eyes closed, you portray a calm and peaceful state of mind,
all stressfulness is kept outside of the bottle. In this peaceful state, perspective of life is made clear like a
bottle, and at the very center, is the dance of peace. And not just any peace, but the kind of peace that surpasses all
understanding. :)

Well that concludes my interpretation. Hope you enjoyed the read. wow, it's refreshing to know I'm not
the only one who shares interpretations. That's so cool. And it also inspired me to go deeper. :D (Big Grin)
We need more artist here who loves to talk about art. This is really awesome. :) Great art work here once
again. ^^
