It feels like a great metaphor. Feelings can be difficult to understand sometimes yet they are the only language we feel and that is communicated well through the human-yet-not-human face of this guy.
I could imagine this as a spiritual dream guid that appears to help understand the subconscious meaning of a dream.

Such an eerie and creepy piece. If you just glance at it, it's a cat with a mask. A beautiful, strange mask. But then you see the limbs and digits, and how they are grotesquely human, and it just adds an entirely new layer of strange. Very well executed, very interesting
