Update on the progress of my 3D artist team and Fisheye Placebo!
This is a first test of a fully 3D paintover in which both the background and the character is originally rendered in 3D and then painted over by me. We're still in the pre-production testing stages, fine tuning the work process, and building a more characters and backgrounds. I'm very excited about how much faster I can produce comics from now on!

Special thanks to SOZOMAIKA for making the 3D model of Frey, and Alex Godfrey for rigging, posing, and rendering the scene. I have more members of the team working on new backgrounds and other assests. I'm super excited to introduce them and their work in the future! Stay tuned for lots of updates as we get more streamlined in the workflow and ramp up production!

You can see a comparison of the original 3D render posted here www.facebook.com/YuumeiArt/pho…

This is a bit of a game-changer! I admire the non-traditional go at creating the environment you've envisioned in your head. It's beautiful, it's experimental, and I adore it!
The forearms and the way the leg sits on his knee seem a little "off" on the other hand, for some reason. I would have thought a lot more perspective issues could have been solved by doing a 3D paintover, but some tweaking to the model's initial pose could do the trick to create a more powerful position.
