|What art means to me|
The art and ramblings of a disillusioned idealist.
I'm a digital artist, graphic novelist, and UC Berkeley grad with a focus on environmentalism and cyber activism.
I've illustrated and authored numerous graphic novels and plushed a few books. I'm currently working on the Axent Wear cat ear headphones that I designed.
When I'm not drawing away or dealing with the unpleasant business side of running a headphones company, I enjoy sculpting, hiking, and experimenting with aquaponics.
HD file and video process on will be part of October rewards
Edit: apparently many people don't get the quote from the book. It's not about happy families being bad (who even thinks that?) it's about how hard it is to be a happy family because everyone in the family must be good to be a happy family, but unhappy families are easy because it only takes one bad family member to become unhappy (like an alcoholic dad or a narcissistic mom, etc). This is actually a general concept applied to many aspects of life and society.

Been doing a lot of Photoshop practices lately but it's always nice to paint in SAI again. I really enjoy switching between styles
The quote on the shirt says "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." It's from the book Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy.HD Image files and process videos of this my painting on www.patreon.com/Yuumei
My SO and I were playing around with some stuffed animals and accidentallied a whole comic universe. The Bread Bros Adventures! With Professor Corgs and Doctor Shibs of Cornbread University. They were just ordinary doggos when they ate a radioactive weed cookie and got baked…into bread. Thus began their adventures as superheros… of science!
What could have caused all those holes? Find out in the next Bread Bros Adventures! (Future chapters will be updated on YuumeiArt.com )
Special thanks to thousandskies who designed the Super Fluffy Corgi and Shiba plushies that inspired this
I don't normally do commissions but MrSuicideSheep on Youtube wanted something to celebrate their 10 mil subscriber, and since I always listen to their channel when I draw, it was only fitting. They wanted something with the themes of music, sky, and reflections
