"The materials I used for my kamas.
Poster foam board
2 inch PVC pipe
cardboard
popsicle sticks
paper foam
red and silver paint
newspaper
flour
salt
water
glue
tape
I started by drawing the kama out to scale. It would give me an idea of how big and what it should be shaped like. Afterwards, I separated the pieces of the blade and the handle. The handle was made but cutting it out on cardboard and also twice on the poster board foam but as a smaller pieces to sandwich the cardboard in. It would give it the look when it is paper mache'd.
