Is it legal to sell characters like pickachu which belong to someone else? Doesn't matter if you draw it cause pickachu does not belong to you?
A longstanding question! While it is not legal to take existing characters and sell them claiming they're your own, many companies/creators are tolerant of (or sometimes even encourage) fanart and fan work in general - provided it isn't being mass-produced, or copying already-existing official merchandise. Of course, other companies/creators take issue with fan works (I think Anne Rice is a fairly well-known example?), and are always perfectly within their rights to contact particular fan artists and tell them to desist - in which case the fan must, of course, comply. It's a discussion that's probably been going on for as long as copyrights have existed.
They are amazing, sooo cute and it's really interesting how the different patterns change the appearence.
