Kegarins are ugly, violent, crude, and all around degenerate electric goblins native to Planet Kollidor. Described by humans as having doglike faces and reptilian bodies, kegarins are intelligent and evil creatures— if not for Yabans and Jinkai nymphs, they'd be the dominant species on Kollidor and might even have primitive societies.
They are fairly robust and muscular dinosauroids with big ears and dog/chimp-looking faces. They are experienced hunters, prowling the dark southern mountains and plains of Kollidor, especially the continent of Subotai. Their ferocity and ferality makes them popular pets/slave beasts, and "Kegarin" is even a fairly standard name for nagois and bollois (one bolloi in the Yabanverse that will soon be realized is named Sun Kegarin). Not unlike naming a human "Lion", "Wolf," or "Hawk."

Kegarins, like Yabans, are bioelectric creatures, though they aren't nearly as physically strong or adept with vril. However, they do have all the savagery of the Yabans, plus the sexual lust that Yabans were engineered to not feel. Indeed, a Gosamyrian joke goes that when Getavara created Yabans, He decided to take out their sexuality and form it into a new species just so He wouldn't have to teach the monkeys how to stab twice.

There are multiple goblin-like animals on Kollidor. Naibans are smaller, cutesy, feathered dinosauroids that are extremely servile and timid. 
Perhaps tellingly, several of the New School Nerds that Yulaan knows greatly prefer naibans, while the Old School Nerds prefer kegarins. Naibans are absolutely adorable and expressive. Likewise, Naiban is a popular name to give yenois. Thus, you could use "Kegarin and Naiban" as stand-in for masculine and feminine, male and female (or in the Yabans' case, male/female and gamale).

Kegarin could be interpreted as "strong goblin" and Naiban as "cute goblin."
