Midnight is not a simple evil character. I had inspiration at first from Kylo Ren (this whole idea started with the SW movie XD).
But later i find out, he has some similarities with Tai Lung, from Kung Fu Panda too.

He believed, he is overshadowed by his mother, who is a powerful magician and princess.
He would do anything to show his mother, that he is stronger. But his major conflic is, that he believed his mother is disappointed by him being a colt.
And he has come to a very important question: can't male unicorns become alicorn? If not, why?
