Mother

Hello! Long time no update 

This is the cover illustration for the March 2014 issue of "Hayakawa SF", the most famous science fiction magazine in Japan.

This work was very fun, because I could paint freely. The inspiration came from the womb, where every human come from. And I think that the earth is everybody's womb. "The earth is our mother" sounds cliché, but it's true.

However, the earth is covered by a shell of high, concrete buildings, and it's gradually losing its life force. But I want to believe it still has its vital power inside, and will try to generate a new world.
