Super Albino: Llamas are awesome! (135)
My Bio
My love of all things historical (particularly Renaissance) led me to making chainmaille, and that led me to wire sculpting. Since I have to try everything that catches my fancy I do a little of this and a little of that, too (currently playing with oil painting). I sell on Etsy and Artfire, at craft shows, comic/anime/gaming conventions and Renaissance faires, and at a local artisan Gallery. Love custom requests, so if you want something made please ask :)

My other love is animals (especially horses), and I have an Arabian and a Mustang, with a houseful of other furry things. At home you can usually find me either at the computer, making something, or on the couch with a pile of critters surrounding me. Hoping to have a little farm some day.

I do spirals on roots and branches when the branches are bare wire, or have small beads. I did one with chip beads this weekend and I really thought the spirals on top were too much.

On this one, I actually love the way you've done the roots, creeping up the sides of the ring like vines.

Ok well, first, it's awesome to see maille in mixed media in any form, and I haven't seen it mixed with polymer clay before, so definite kudos on that.

Things I like about this piece:
1) Extremely eye-catching. The color scheme is unique and trendy.
2) The maille is an active participant, not secondary to something (i.e. a chain for some sort of fancy pendant) that is what really draws the eye. The little green beads incorporated into the weave really pull it together.
3) Adjustable. Yay!
4) I'm by no means an expert on polymer clay technique but the rose is really lovely, nice job.

Criticism:
I don't have too much really, except I think it would be better if the little white flowers faced forward a little more, somehow - you can only really get a nice view of them in the third pic. Which is a shame cause they're nice. Not quite sure how you'd accomplish this, though.

Nice work, I really like it!

Now that is a pentacle I would wear.   I love your work so much.
