A sigh danced through the leaves of the forest surrounding the small wood cabin. It was not a sigh of anger, frustration or sadness. It was one of the rarest breaths that any human being can exude. Kairi, for the first time in a long time, was at peace. She’d seen it in the faces of loved ones lost at the moments of their passing and saw it in her husband’s eyes when Hikari was born. As she held her little girl in her arms, swaddled in layers of yellow and red cloth, she felt peaceful. The world around her brimmed with the sweet smell of the trees she and Sora had carried home from a number of other worlds.
In front of her now as she rocked her baby girl to sleep was a Bobbly tree from the Disney Castle, its various branches capped with large sphered bundles that, when the sun just kissed the horizon, exploded into a myriad of flashing colors like fireworks.
