Ah, it feels good to be alive on deviantart again. I'm drawing, and drawing, and for the first time in my life...
I FINISHED A SKETCHBOOK!!!
*GASP*
No really, for me, that's an achievement. Sure, I've got loads of them lying around, but most of them are only half-full, or only have like 20 pages of nice drawings in them. But now, the first sketchbook I'm using for my webcomic is lying next to me, compeleted.
Okay, so just two more pages to fill out. Details. It's 120 pages of mostly good, finished drawings! And all drawn in four months or something. It's a personal record for me!
So for those of you who didn't get my christmas card for some reason (I'll be posting it here shortly), let me tell you what's going to happen. You see, I made a little facebook page for Faye Morrigan, the star of my webcomic:
www.facebook.com/faye.morrigan…
You can choose to join or not join, but I will be starting a 12-days-of-christmas-event december 14th. For twelve days, I shall post something new about the comic, be it some sketches, a finished drawing, or something different alltogether! This is to get some excitement for the comic going, and also to test my 'get stuff done' skills. You are greatly encouraged to comment on the things you see, as the person who sends me the most helpful, creative feedback over those twelve days, will receive a brand-new-never-before-seen set of coasters made by me!
Now, I know some of you might be kinda... wary of facebook. Believe me, I am too. But I'm not a bad guy. So I'll also host the twelve days of christmas right here! Still, the facebook page will become the sort of 'website' for my comic in the period until its release, so I hope you at least pay it a visit some time.
Wow, long post. So please, lend me your support, and I'll try not to let you down!

Thank you
. Facebook is kind of like a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can be an amazing tool to promote yourself, in this case, I do so with my material. People really notice you're 'out there' once again, and you can easily reach a lot of people who, in turn, can make their friends enthousiastic for your projects. 'Fayesbook' as I call it, even has a friend from America who I don't know how he got on the website, but hey, as long as he is willing to check out my work, he's welcome!
The downside to facebook is obviously that there are some people who seem to think they should post every single detail of their lives on there. I especially loathe the 'chain-mail-letters', which have seen a complete revival on facebook.
The again, it gives me the opportunity to keep in touch with people I otherwise wouldn't keep in touch with that easily.
Bottom line: Facebook is a powerful medium, but be sure to pick your 'friends' wisely and toss them out if they get bothersome
