Just finished my tribute to the dragon who shaped history - until Dorne wrote her final chapter.


Meraxes was named for a god of the Valyrian Freehold.Her egg hatched on Dragonstone during the Century of Blood.

• Second largest dragon of the Conquest era (only Balerion was bigger)

• Rhaenys rode her without chains, whips, or saddles - their bond was pure trust

• Fell to a single shot - Dorne's famous scorpion strike through the eye
