My Bio
I'm just another denizen of the internet trying to add a little nuance where its needed, and a little bluntness where it's not.

I'm from Western Washington, though I currently reside in California.

I'm an actual Rocket Scientist (did research with rockets, and am an Aerospace Engineer).

Politically I can best be described as Liberal American Imperialist; so basically I want Universal Healthcare as an excuse to annex Canada.

I love sci-fi movies, books, and TV shows, classic cars and modern ones too, bitching about politics, speculating about the future, and analyzing the past.

"Special Forces" exist, but they're more like "specialist forces." Teams trained to do one type of fighting particularly well.

Yes there are larger divisions of armored units, its just that the 8-11 man squad now has MUCH more power projection. In WWII there were over 1,100 divisions in the Soviet Army alone. In WWIII its more like 170 for the entire Alliance, and really only about 25 actual combat divisions.

Definitely. Probably the opposite since the cops will form the a good deal of the ranks of the traitor's army.

They'll be fighting in the traitors army. Our attempt to ascribe virtue to generations seldom works. The same generation that defeated fascism also included fascist footsoldiers. The same will be true of Millenials and Gen Z.

Not all that supprising

No idea. I have it set for around 200 years in the Second Renaissance, but the research into healthspan extension really does seem to be suggesting indefinite healthy lifespans are possible.
