No matter how many times
My body rots away
I will live on through
This curse called "immortality"

Today I face their wrath again
The council of sixteen
What will today's judgement
Hold for me?

I know I'm awful
The worst piece of scum
Each time I restart
I make the same mistakes

In my first life
I'm a haughty prince
I ignore the pleas of the people
And get poisoned by a witch

This is the first time
I'm put on trial
My punishment is to
Restart this futility

In another life
I'm a thief of the night
I steal for myself
Until I'm finally detained

This time when
I'm put on trial
The jury simply sighs
And send me off to try again

In my next life
I'm a ruthless businessman
Stepping over the toes of novices
Dying old surrounded only by my money

When I'm sent
To the courtroom once again
The jury doesn't
Even look at me

No matter how many times
My body rots away
I live on through
This curse called "immortality"

In my penultimate life
I find myself a cop
Taking in money
Rather than the guilty

A juror screams in anger
When I arrive this time
They all agree
This is my last chance

So in this life
I have an urge to do better
I go to college and
I fall in love

With this woman
Who is now my wife
We have three children
Each of them my pride and joy

To protect myself
And my children
I follow my orders
Even if...

So today I face
My final punishment
Hopefully my good deeds
Will outweigh the crimes

The jury has finished
Discussing the matter
The gavel pounds
And my final judgement occurs

No matter how many times
My body rotted away
I lived on through
The curse called "immortality"

There are two things I Will never forget from that night: The horrible screams of people Running from their plight and The tears running freely Down my face. They told us nothing was wrong, Although their eyes were wide with fear. “Listen to me!” my father said, “Everything will be alright, Dear.” But the tears were running freely Down my face. “The ship’s unsinkable! This must be some mistake!” My mother’s face was grim And her hands began to shake. And the tears ran freely Down her face. I stepped into the lifeboat Not wanting to believe. I cried out to my father. He wasn

You are the first You are the last You are the present You are the past You are my soul You are my light You are my life raft You are my knight New mercies each day You have given to me Because of You I believe Even though I miss the mark And sin pulls us Farther apart You make me strong You never let me go I know this because You love me so.

stop ruining autumn.
listen: fall makes me think of leaving and of apple cider, though i never liked apple cider. but i liked the idea of it. listen: two years ago i met a boy as fragile as dead leaves who called me his little spring girl. (i'd always liked autumn the best.) he kissed the two soft dimples on the small of my back and told me helikedme helovedme hewantedme. and oh, by the way, "everything good must come to an end." listen: on our one year anniversary we picked out two pumpkins and i drew elephants on them for us to carve. he cut his out so aggressively that it lost its shape. lopped off tusks and broken trunks became just a large, jagged ho
