Two Gamemasters
Presiding over all
Watch us fumble
Through pointless lives

Another world is picked
To be the gameboard
For these two Gamemasters
To play another round

Twelve heroes are chosen
Given dormant powers and abilities
And so the Gamemasters
Roll the dice and set the board

A peaceful world
Finds itself engulfed in despair
And the two Gamemasters
Smile in anticipation

The twelve heroes watch
As their world crumbles
They must learn to stand together
Or they will fall divided

With the demons controlled
By the lighter Gamemaster
And the heroes supervised
By the darker Gamemaster

Fingers are snapped
Dice are rolled
And a story is put
Into motion

Today the first one fell
One hero backstabbed another
One Gamemaster laughs
And another cries

Then right before the eyes
Of the backstabbing liar
The dead hero rises from the ashes
More powerful than before

The liar is forced
To agree to the hero's terms
And the first allegiance
Is formed between heroes

The two Gamemasters
Watching over all
Sit back to enjoy
The scrambling of insects

While the world is slowly
Being reborn from the ashes
The heroes fight endlessly
Against all odds

Finally the end is nigh
They've reclaimed their planet
All that remains is
The overrun capital

The Demon Queen smirks
Sitting atop a throne of skulls
The odds of beating her are
Impossibly small

But for once the Gamemasters
Step down from their thrones
And assist the villain and the heroes
For the final showdown

The two Gamemasters
That watch over all
Step in only
To have more fun

The battle is over
The day is won
But which side claimed victory
Depends on your perspective

The futility of life
Makes the two Gamemasters laugh
But in the end their final goal
Was finally achieved

A new set of Gamemasters
Go watch over a new world
And play the ultimate game
As history unfolds

A snap is heard, a die is rolled
And the group of winners
Watch the scurrying insects
Known as "humanity"

There are two things I Will never forget from that night: The horrible screams of people Running from their plight and The tears running freely Down my face. They told us nothing was wrong, Although their eyes were wide with fear. “Listen to me!” my father said, “Everything will be alright, Dear.” But the tears were running freely Down my face. “The ship’s unsinkable! This must be some mistake!” My mother’s face was grim And her hands began to shake. And the tears ran freely Down her face. I stepped into the lifeboat Not wanting to believe. I cried out to my father. He wasn

You are the first You are the last You are the present You are the past You are my soul You are my light You are my life raft You are my knight New mercies each day You have given to me Because of You I believe Even though I miss the mark And sin pulls us Farther apart You make me strong You never let me go I know this because You love me so.

listen: fall makes me think of leaving and of apple cider, though i never liked apple cider. but i liked the idea of it. listen: two years ago i met a boy as fragile as dead leaves who called me his little spring girl. (i'd always liked autumn the best.) he kissed the two soft dimples on the small of my back and told me helikedme helovedme hewantedme. and oh, by the way, "everything good must come to an end." listen: on our one year anniversary we picked out two pumpkins and i drew elephants on them for us to carve. he cut his out so aggressively that it lost its shape. lopped off tusks and broken trunks became just a large, jagged ho
