[CE] Until only a mask remains

You need to carve them carefully
or they might break
without your notice
And as soon as you look behind
and look inside
the only thing you'll find
is candy in a jar

This poor child seems to have lost his mind and head due to his parents forcibly carving him the way they would have liked him to be....
How he lost his head exactly?
Well, no one knows... His decapitated body was found in the local farmers pumpkin fields, his head no where to be found.
But it is said that you could see the boy sitting in the fields at night, wearing an almost perfect, yet disturbing mask where his head should be.
And the only sound you can hear is the scratching of a knife carving a pumpkin...
