The Light Train passed through another gate. What was once static crackling between her fingers was starting to become a tiny flame. Memories rushed into her mind. Memories of Tokyo.
But... they weren't her memories. That much she could tell. Everything was wrong, like someone had been implanting ideas in her head. Tokyo was beautiful. The Tokyo her mind was showing her was in ruins. She fought off the thoughts. She needed to remember the Tokyo that they fixed, not the broken city she'd been thrust back into.
"Darus..." she whispered to noone in particular. "Why?"
She walked to side of the rail car, and looked at the terminal on the wall. It had a small card reader on the side, and an outline of a hand on the screen. She searched her pockets once again, but didn't have any sort of ID card. Instead, hoping she could get by with only one such security measure, she pressed her palm against the screen.
