I just deleted about 60 of my deviations. I realized My biggest fault before was that I put wayyy too much details in my work. Like the hair and everything was so scribbled out and polished it all just looked like a clusterfuck. I still have that in my works some of the time but I'm trying to make my drawings more free and not work on them so long so they wont become so crowded.
But how are all of you doing? I miss talking to you, all of my friends here in dA! Hey any of you who live in Helsinki want to meet up? It would be cool, I like meeting new people. Go to an art gallery or something fancy hehe.
I'm working on a new comic at the moment. It's going to be called Black Lace Crow. I'll put some more drawings of it here. It has a crow in it, like the name suggests but it's more of a psychological thriller I guess? I like making my little characters all messed up. But I wont reveal too much of it yet.
Even your new style or your previous style with details, I like it both. It's relaxing and colorful, fashionable and original :3 By the way I sent your letter wednesday hu hu hu, I hope it won't be long to arrive ! I'm pretty excited about the new comic even if I haven't even read the first one yet xD I love the name. Black Lace Crow. Hope the characters would be tricky xD
ooh you send it already oh my!! YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN ME YOUR ADDRESS YET!!! or is it the same as the last one? : OO
hehee The charcaters are kinda weird but simple also. hhee Good thing my comics have nothign to do with each other but I guess the feel of the stories are pretty similar, I always picture them happening in a similar place.. Ooh I'm so glad you like the name! Marika didn't like it : ( But it fits the story so well I can't bare to change it : D
I sended it on the little card in my letter ^^ I hope those fuckin postmen are not gonna fold the drawing in half, i've written 'DON'T FOLD PLEASE' on the envelop cause the drawing is A3, it was too big to get in a normal envelop so I created one with craft paper xDDD
It's style after all. To make characters in the same way of life or in some context very unique. Like you told me my chara looked like me x) Well in my case I like it = D It looks dark (well I know it must be, black is dark after all --") i'm pretty excited to see pictures of it =3
Sometimes when a piece could be good even in like 5 minutes but it just feels like to me that it can't be ready yet, I've only worked so little time on it! And then I start fixing little things and adding stuff to the background and before I know it it has all gotten a bit over board. : D
I understand where you're coming from. Whenever i do something spontaneously and fast, it just turns out to be a doodle on squared paper during maths class And later, when i try copying the same result on some more professional media, i also end up overworking it to the degree of uglyness
Ah I know how that feels! The sketch feels always better than the version I'm trying to do better! Then I just get mad cause I can't duplicate the sketch, that's why I usually don't sketch before I draw my pieces anymore so I can't get dissapointed!
