Xuanhuaceratops niei is an extinct species of early ceratopsian dinosaur. It belongs to the chaoyangsaurids, the earliest described family of ceratopsians. Xuanhuaceratops was a small 75 centimeter long dinosaur that foraged in the forest floor for food, which was mostly plant material, although it might have been complemented with some eggs and small animals. Just like early ceratopsians, Xuanhuaceratops displayed a bipedal stance, typical of basal ornithischians, used to run through the forest floor away from vicious predators.
