If you are not aware, Charlott-A has proposed a speculative challenge throughout this month of September (www.deviantart.com/charlott-a/…). It will consist of you creating speculative creatures, as it is said in the challenge. I've drawn mine, from day 17.
1. Speculative pathogen/disease (Leptocercovirus klint): This is a virus that infects the giant rodent Pampachoerus vulgaris, 20 million years in the future. This virus is known to infect the animal and cause disease, most evident by the intense lacerations in the skin and fur present in the forehead of the animal. It leads to severe irritation in the animal that leads it to violently scratch the forehead and cause these lacerations. This epidemic also causes severe injuries on the lungs and, if prolonged, the rodent can die due to pulmonar infections.
