153 million years ago, in what is now Colorado, USA, a mother Palaeopteryx thomsoni grabs one of her chicks that fell from the nest. However, this female cannot leave this newborn alone in the forest floor, as very nearby a pair of juvenile Marshosaurus wander around in search of easy food.
