Mad Max Photoshoot

*********** Yaya on Facebook [link] ***********

I found a couple of more shots from the post apocalyptic outfit that I put together back in 2007: This is obviously a tribute to the movie "Mad Max". I totally love the world of Mad Max, especially "Beyond The Thunder Dome"!

The costume was designed and created by me, between altering pieces from my wardrobe, making accessories like the shoulder pad, and throwing props on to my body last minute, like the gas mask.
The makeup is a scary but still glamorous look (I am wearing a white out contact in my right eye, but you can't see it that well in this shot). It's like, you're surviving in a desolate savage world, but still gotta look good. Lol.

Of the three movies, I liked The Road Warrior the best.

If Mel Gibson were still sane, hed be proud of your costume.:)

You made this out of things in your closet? Oh Yaya. I am so tempted to beg to raid your closet if not for the fact that absolutely nothing would fit me in the chest region ....:D

I'm scrolling through all of your outfits and I just love how many I recognize immediately. Great job on all of these! I agree, "Beyond The Thunder Dome" was the best. Thanks for sharing.

I really love this theme, and loved Beyond the Thunderdome, and had rewatched it simply because of the costuming before.
