Back again after another lengthy hiatus.  As of late, I've been sketching a lot more and working on my own stuff.  Don't get me wrong, inking is my true passion and has yet to feel like work as I still enjoy the process.  However, it's been a nice change to actually do my own thing.  My process simply is to go to a local watering hole, order a nice whiskey and sit and draw for hours on end.  Amazingly, a number of people have found my work on Instagram, as I post my progress on their quite frequently, and have taken an interest.  I was invited to participate in the RAWartists show here in Raleigh and actually sold quite a number prints and...

Recently, I have been sketching a lot more.  I've mostly shared my drawings on social media like twitter, FB, and Instagram.  My friends have suggested that I share those on a forum that isn't so private.  As luck would have it, I registered a blog years ago and never did a single thing with it other than change the title and banner image a few times.  Finally, I have taken some initiative and OFFICIALLY started my blog.  Feel free to stop by and check it out.  It's slow goings when it comes to posting, but as I get the hang of it and add to my routine there will be posts.  With this blog, I hope to share my sketches as well as progress on...

I've recently rediscovered an "oldie" when it comes to art supplies/tools.  Before I begin, let me preface this by letting you know that aside from the "inking" thang, I manage an art store in downtown Raleigh, NC.  It's been my home since I started working there in college (Fun Fact: :iconfrogbillgo: got me a job there).  Since then I've been in a wonderland of art supplies and having sales reps come through with free samples of stuff doesn't hurt either.   I've been using a high pigmented ink from Holbein called, Special Black.  It came highly recommended from reps and pros as well so I initially hopped on the band wagon.  Its opacity wa...
