A Tale of Lost Files
I'm still a little freaked out - so today I decided to pop open my Chibi Tarot file to get some work going.
And the file doesn't work. 😐
Ok, fine, I mess around a bit and manage to get the file to open.
But it only has the first set of the Major Arcana, missing the Aces of Swords, Cups and Coins which I had completed, and the Wands Minor Arcana.
So now I'm doing damage control - I have high-quality PNGs of everything except the Aces, and I have at least screenshots of the Aces, so I can continue work on the project and all is not lost, but obviously losing the original source file with the layered images and all is a huge blow. 😐😐
But I never delete anything and I've had the same laptop for years!! So where could they have gone? I start sleuthing, going through every file one by one.
ClipStudio Paint defaults to 'page' as a file name when you make a multi-page story, so I start searching through all the 'page' files on my computer (and there are a lot).

Life Updates - and More!
Hi all! Update time – so, as you may already know, I have been a full-time early years teacher for the past 15 years. In the last five years specifically, I joined a high-paying but high-intensity school that has burnt me out completely. It became harder and harder over these past years to teach and also maintain a presence on social media, make art, make content, maintain a website, respond to messages and so on. I’m still a solo owner and operator of this small business – it’s all me! In the end there was only one conclusion: a break was in order.
And so, I’ve quit full-time teaching and will be working fully from home this year! I will still teach but only online and for much shorter hours, giving me the time and headspace I need to continue all the creative projects I’ve been stuck on for so long!
