It's been a while so I thought I would update y'all on what's going on.
I am working on a new coloring book which will be titled 'Flowery Dreams' - as you can guess it's flower-themed and will be filled with chibis and fairies with beautiful blossoms for you to color! I have some concept up already on my Facebook and Instagram if you'd like to get a sneak peak! I don't know for sure when it will be done but I am shooting for a summer release.
For some bad news, my very beloved Surface Book has malfunctioned, right out of warranty no less. I am super disappointed in Surface Books at this point and would probably not buy one again or recommend them to anyone. They are really nice computers - when they work. The specs are great, the look and feel is amazing and I could run Clip Studio and Photoshop on this baby easily. However, so many problems straight out of the box: the famous crashing and not waking up issue so prevalent it's on the Surface Book homepage. Then there are the faulty power cables that need to be replaced once every six months (and cost $100+). Finally, the issue that killed it for me; fault connectors. I have barely ever detached my Surface Book and used it as a tablet. I use it almost exclusively as a laptop. Yet that it was broke. And to be honest, for a $1500+ machine, even if I DID disconnect and reconnect it constantly, it should be breaking! It's such a known and prevalent issue there are hundreds of threads about it - and Microsoft will not even fix the issue, they just replace the unit entirely, with a refurbished laptop. There are people that have had this happen 3-4 times. Since I'm out of warranty this will cost $600 and I am not sinking any more money into a faulty machine that will likely break again. What's especially frustrating is the laptop is totally fine and functioning - it just has an issue connecting to the keyboard so it keeps connecting and disconnecting every 30 seconds or so. I can either use it as a very high end tablet now, or, as I am doing now, turned it back into a functioning laptop with a USB keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse. Not ideal, but will have to do till I can get a new laptop.
I'm happy for replacement suggestions - I have been highly recommended the Dell XPS so far.
Finally, due to a big project I am working on, the coloring book and faulty laptop, I must close commissions. Thanks to everyone who contacted me! If I open them again, there will be an update about it here & on Facebook, so keep an eye out and as always, shoot me a message, I do sometimes take commissions even when they are closed if it's an interesting or unique project!
Have a great one!
