Samoyeds, also known as Sammys for short, are a social and energetic breed of herding dogs, that are also used to help pull sleds. They are one of the oldest breed of dogs.
Their double coat keeps them warm for those harsh cold weathers, but it can be a lot to maintain as an owner!  
But it's definitely a beautiful pet that's worth all the piles of hair blanketing your house.

The amaryllis flower that adorns this fluffy Annie is her trinket to holiday cheer. The flower is a famous symbol for the Greek story of tragic love between Amaryllis, a nymph, and Alteo, a shepherd.
For 30 nights, Amaryllis visits Alteo and receives a golden arrow to her heart. Until the last day where he finally admires the bloody flower that forms from her overly pierced heart.
Quite the tragedy for love, but the flower has become a symbol for beauty and determination.
