Angora cat a.k.a. Turkish angora is one of the oldest known cat breeds in the history and they can be found in the history books ever since the 1400-century.
 Angora cats were popular among the nobles till Persian cats took their place as most popular breed.
 There was a time in history when Angora cats were about to go extinct but the Turkish government chose to save them with a special breeding program!

Angora cats have been preserved in their original form for centuries and they are still today not bred with other cat breeds but kept pure to their origin. 
Typical Angora cat is elegant and slender medium cat breed. Their fur is silky smooth and medium long. Their fur is longest around their neck and tail.

They are smart, lively and appreciates company.
They get quickly attached to people and want to join all kinds of activity around them, including swimming which is unusual for cats.
