I cannot believe I've been a member here for 13 years already. I've just looked at my feedback, and even though I haven't posted here for a veeeery long time, there are still people who fav some of my works! :o (Eek) (I've missed these emoticons) Thank you for that! Hug

Anyway, I've decided to quit drawing and painting about... 3 years ago now? My interest has shifted. I'm all into healthy food and working out now :-) Nod
For anyone out there reading (and caring), bye, and take care. Love
Can't even remember the last time I've been here, but anyway...

After six years of art academy, it is finally done. Yes!!! Don't get me wrong. I liked it. But over the years, there's been some changes at my job, which made it harder and harder to get to art class in time. I feel so free now! What I'm gonna do with my free time? I'm gonna try to do some sports. And cook! Coz in the end, I prefer the smell of garlic and onion on my hands, over the smell of paint thinner. I'll surely miss all the people from class though. What I won't miss, are the oilpaint stains on my clothes.

And now, I'm gonna enjoy my vacation! Eat, drink and sleep FTW!!

In case you were wondering (which I doubt, of course), yes, I am still alive ^_^ I realize that I haven't been here for like almost a year or so, but I'll tell you what happened. It's as simple as it is stupid: my laptop was broken. For a whole time. I could check my e-mail. That was about as far as it went. Any more than that, and the poor thing lost it, as did I. It was better for my sanity to just give it up and wait untill I had a new laptop. Why I waited so long to buy one? Again, it's as simple as it is stupid: I had no money.

Nevertheless, I've still enjoyed my paintingclasses. This year, we could choose the theme, and of course, I chose Japan. Tsugoi, ne! :-D It was harder than I thought. There are obviously a lot of stereotype images of Japan like Cherry Blossoms, Mt. Fuji, temples etc. But the challenge is always to take a picture and to do something artsy with it. My teacher is very hard to satisfy. But it's cool. I'm enjoying the learning process.

In other news, I've discovered a new Japanese pop sensation: Kalafina. I'm probably centuries behind, but see above. I got to know them through Kuroshitsuji II and instantly fell in love with them. It's dramatic, and I love drama in a song. And what's even better, I can download them directly from iTunes, here in my home country! :-O iTunes didn't have that feature at first. But good for me, right?

Well, there's more paintings to come. Mata ne! ^_~

I want to discover some new animeseries! I just finished Death Note, so something along those lines would be cool. What do you like? Let me know, please!

Nice weekend to all ^_^
What's up with this site lately? Is it supposed to be so slow?

For a brief moment, I witnessed a partial solar eclipse this morning, before the sun disappeared after the clouds again. For a whole time, it never was entirely light, even though there was sunshine. It all looked very dramatic and apocalyptic. It was awesome!

Hi! I was in a cute little store in Holland last week where they had all kinds of cool and cute gadgets. I saw there keychains, necklaces, pencilcases, bags etc. with a very cute and gothic version of Bambi, with a tiny ribbon in its ear. I'd have loved to have bought a keychain, but I didn't really know what I would do with it. Can't hang in on a purse or bag, coz it was so cute, I didn't want to lose it. So I didn't buy it. But only yesterday, I thought of a purpose for it. I could hang it on the rearview mirror of my car (to customise it, you know, and so I wouldn't go to the wrong car anymore). So I thought that maybe I could buy it online, but I don't know under what name I should look for it.

So, does anyone know this? A kinda gothic verion of Bambi with a ribbon in its ear. Kind of the same genre as Ruby Gloom and Emily the Strange.

Thank you!

I have two new paintings. I should take pictures and post them here.

I've had a hard time at work, the last two days, because of the snow. My ass hurst, my arms hurt, my legs hurt. I can hardly move. But I went to the hairdresser yesterday, so that's good. It was sooo relaxing when she washed my hair.

Merry Christmas, everyone, and (early) happy newyear! I hope everyone will have a great time!

It's hugging day today! Mexican Flu, ahoy! Let's all contaminate each other! :D

My back is freakin' killing me. But...! It's the weekend! I can take it easy for TWO WHOLE DAYS! Whoa! *cough* >_> Anyway... I took a nice relaxing bath this afternoon and made an apple pie. Then I had some dough and apples left, and so I just made another one. ^_^ It's gonna be yummie. Yay for apple pie!

The only good thing about having a job (apart from earning money ;p ) is that you don't dread the end of summer holiday anymore. On the contrary, you're looking forward to it! Only one more month to go. Yaaaay! :D Sorry for you who *are* dreading it, but I'm just so jealous of all those kids being home!

I watched all of Candy Candy on Youtube. Ending sucked. I cried. Might still cry. Not gonna bother anyone with my complaints about how bad the ending was. I think I need a new addiction. Think I'm gonna watch Hellsing. That Walter guy looks really gorgeous! :D

*edit* This came as a really late afterthought, but I think that Candy Candy has kind of an open ending, so the yuri-fans would also be satisfied. Candy could end up with a boy OR a girl. Huh... Kinda makes me feel better a bit.

Have watched up to ova 5 of Hellsing, have only seen a liiiittle bit of young Walter. Really not cool. He's like the only reason I watch it. Although, gotta admit, Victoria's pretty cool too when she goes into Vampire mode ;p And when the hell is that 6th ova gonna come???

Let's not talk about how stupid I am, but I taped over the final episode of Prison Break. During the last few seasons, the storyline was getting more and more absurd and complicated, and you just *knew* there was gonna be some kind of plot twist. But it would've been nice to know what all this absurdity has lead to. So, can someone pleeeaaase tell me how it ended? Did Micheal and Sara live happily ever after and have lots of kids?

Gonna sleep now. Goodnight. :)

How has it come to this??? Okay, around this time of year, there are certain festivities, right? Mardi Gras, or whatever you want to call it. Today, or rather, yesterday, people have been partying through the night, in silly outfits (saw them when I went to work this morning, go figure). Fine by me. People can have fun. But do they *have* to use dead pigs?! Not pigmeat, like porc chops and stuff, no no no, litterly, dead pig! I swear, I came out of the supermarket this afternoon, and on the street, I saw the leg of pig. Okay, I thought. Could be from the butchery delivery guy of the supermarket. I drive home on my bike, a bit further I see... pig ear. Then a chunk of belly, or back, or thigh. Whatever, I don't even wanna know. Then I wonder. If you start using dead animals, can you still call this celebrating Mardi Gras? As someone who has stopped eating meat out of respect for animals, I think this is... sickening. Aweful, disgusting and well, sad, just sad. It made my stomach turn.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. Man, am I gonna have some bad dreams tonight. :O

I watched an interesting anime today, about an average, but beautiful boy, who falls in love with a girl he sees in hallucinations. Quite a problem isn't it?! :o It was... absurd and surreal, although the artwork and music were amazing. I didn't get the story, of course. But whatever. I've had the soundtrack on my iPod for ages. It's so nice to finally see the movie too! :D

It's on youtube, if you wanna get to know it. Search under the name of "Portrait of petite cosette", and you'll find plenty! If I had known, I might not have bought it ^^; But it was worth its 35 euro, and I got a dvd with bonus stuff! :D Goodies!
