It's difficult to tell whether some comments in social media meant to be sarcastic, indifferent or genuinely support bad or good thing. Without emojis or any expressive marks indicating that the comment is meant to be something makes it hard to recognize which lead to misunderstanding.
People with closed minds, no matter how much you discuss with them, instead of listening, will demonize you and remain stubborn. For example, consider those who are anti-Muslim and Muslims with a rigid mentality. The difference between these two parties is that one consists of non-Muslims, while the other consists of Muslims. However, both share a common rigid and inflexible perspective of Islam as a religion that incites violence against anyone who has not converted to Islam, even if that person poses no threat and has not tried to fight Islam or Muslims. Both parties cite verses from the Holy Quran that, from their rigid viewpoint, seem to support this.
Similarly, regarding the marriage of minors, both parties believe that the marriage of girls at a young age is the Sunnah of the Messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him. They argue that since the Prophet, peace be upon him, did it, Muslims must follow this practice without considering differences in times and places. When a Muslim who understands Islam from a broader and more rational perspective attempts to correct these misconceptions about the religion, they are accused by both parties of being a hypocrite who interprets religion as they please, and of trying to 'patch up' Islam to please non-Muslims.
Even if the statements of a broad-minded and rational Muslim seem convincing to some anti-Muslim individuals, most of them will still not be satisfied unless that Muslim supports something forbidden in their religion, such as gay rights, for example. Even if the Muslim respectfully expresses their refusal to support such a practice, while making it clear they do not support violence, these individuals will remain unsatisfied and continue to accuse them of being homophobic and hateful. Why? Because they are mentally closed.
In general, both parties are extremists who do not accept discussion and refuse to listen to anything. You are expected to align with one party and disappoint the other by either becoming a Muslim with a rigid mentality or becoming anti-Muslim. Otherwise, neither party will be satisfied with you. A moderate Muslim does what they can, knowing that God guides whomever He wills.
To be honest, I also have flaws, including quick anger and quick frustration with things that disappoint and annoy me greatly. I can also be extreme in my thinking sometimes and sensitive to anything I perceive as suspicious. I am not a scholar; I am just explaining what truly happens.
To be honest, sometimes I rush to judge others. This happens due to my intolerance and sensitivity to things I find unpleasant and suspicious, usually when I read people's comments and post descriptions.
