Geodite Description

Species Name: Geodite/Geodites

Basic Description:
Geodites are humanoid creatures made entirely of gemstones. They are biologically immortal, but can be killed purposely or in certain accidents. They can reproduce with others or on their own, however they need a DNA sample from a second being in order to reproduce on their own. For this situation, any form of DNA sample works, even if it's just hair, saliva, blood, or skin. It also doesn't have to be from the same species, however if it's from a species other than geodites, it will look exactly like the second species but made of gemstones like a geodite.

Planet/Environment:
Safton is a rock planet in the Lyrae Star System. It's main inhabitants are the geodites that live in the mountains and in underground caves, the Firecreatures that live in lava pools and volcanoes, and the Icecreatures that live on mountain peaks and ice caps around the planet. There are several other animal species that are farmed for food and resources. Plants grow here but only in isolated areas. Geodites grow and thrive on this planet as they can survive anywhere on Safton, but tend to avoid the other major inhabitants and instead stick to the mountainous and underground areas.

Society:
Geodites are born into certain roles in society based on what type of stone they are.* Angel aura quartz are treated as gods. Rose quartz are the caretakers of children.**

Reproduction:
Geodites hatch from geode eggs. Mothers are "pregnant" with the geode egg for a few weeks while it forms fully. The mother then "lays" they egg by physically removing it from their abdomens. They leave the geode eggs in a special place where it will be taken care of by the rose quartz caretakers. The eggs hatch within a few months and will continue to live with their caretakers until they are old enough to join their own place in society.
