Would you look at that? Today's my half-birthday! I won't tell you how old-and-a-half I am, but I can say it's definitely in the double digits and I can drive myself places. Infer from this what you will~
Besides this useless fact about me, I've been tagged! Yes, yes, another one, I know. You're probably cursing me because you wanted this to be a Blood of Nations update, but I am irresponsible and fairly susceptable to procrastination, hah. Please excuse my laziness and overall unpleasantness—I've been a bit preoccupied with college work lately.
My wonderful friend tagged me the other day in a journal, so I figured I should be kind enough to complete the tag. I was admittedly a bit confused about whether or not I was to do all four or simply the tag I was mentioned under
I'm a fucking liar I was actually just quite interested in all of the tags and snatched at the opportunity to do them all and ran with it because I love writing and shit and you probably don't care so I'm just gonna shut up now, so I did all four because it is better to be safe rather than sorry! A nice phrase to live by, in my opinion. But without further ado, I give you the tag! I'd actually read it if I were you, not to learn about me, but to read the questions. Some of them are rather interesting.
Rules: Must answer all 34 with no lying.
No, actually. I have myself a rather sweet boyfriend (dunno how I managed to catch his attention, really).
Don’t tell my significant other, but I have a thing for several nonexistent game/manga/anime boys

3.) Favourite food?
Hn, well, I have a love for Italian, but certain Japanese dishes appeal to me as well. I like fish and chips, too, and my mother makes a delicious English breakfast - her tomatoes are fantastic.
4.) Favourite colour?
I have a love for a colour no human can see.
5.) Favourite music?
I have peculiar tastes in music. I prefer no set genre - my love flits from alternative to classical and back again. I enjoy listening to the soundtracks of different animes and shows, such as Undertale, Tokyo Ghoul, Black Butler, and Attack on Titan, as well as the music from Doctor Who. However, the majority of the music I listen to nowadays is my own. I haven’t set aside my guitar in a while, nor have I stopped playing the piano or violin. The holidays are a very nice time to relieve stress through the playing of instruments.
6.) Favourite band/artists?
I have a thing for foreign bands, but I like quite a few English ones, too. Babymetal is a strange little fascination of mine (their music videos are something), and IAMX has many songs with intriguing lyrics. Fall Out Boy, Three Days Grace, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, and Panic! At the Disco are all guilty pleasures of mine, too. I also enjoy listening to the songs from various artists that have their music as the opening/closing for different animes (such as TK [Tokyo Ghoul - Unravel], and Sid [Black Butler, Book of Circus - Enamel]).
I value my academic capabilities, as well as my love of the Arts. Reading, writing, drawing, playing varying instruments, singing, acting, dancing - they’re all things I enjoy doing, but I also adore exercise and sports involving my athleticism as well. Football (soccer), volleyball, basketball, swimming, tennis, and softball are a few I participate in. I’ve been told I’m rather sharp; sensing the emotions of others, and reading people very well. I also treasure my ability to see the good in every single person, but this does not equate to my sense of loyalty and trust. To gain my friendship, you must display to me a reason to value your existence.
8.) In love?
Somehow, a friend managed to shatter those walls around my heart long ago and saunter right in to make himself at home. To this day, I’m unsure of how he did it. I thank him everyday for it with a kiss.
As stated before, I enjoy the Arts as well as sports. I adore expanding my knowledge of the Universe - any little fact you may find useless and rather pointless will still interest me. I use my intellect to my advantage and push myself to excel; I read endless amounts of books, study different languages, take too many classes, aspire to be something more once I have achieved a goal. I believe it is there my fatal flaw lies - my thirst for knowledge renders me greedy, and I possess too much pride - viewing myself as more intelligent than those around me.
Yes. I’ve played many different games of varying media - card games are fun, and chess is a strong suit of mine; I adore placing bets over who will emerge the victor. However, I enjoy games comprised of pixels as well; specifically those of the horror genre, such as Outlast, Amnesia, and the Half-Life mod, Afraid of Monsters. Even the games with less developed graphics such as White Face and Seven Days and Ib are fascinating to me. I enjoy the feeling of adrenaline coursing through my veins when being chased, or the fake thrill of a jumpscare, and the chills from a well-generated ambience that brings with it a creepy subtlety - the sensation that something is just not right, something off-kilter, so slight you don’t notice it until the horror itself emerges suddenly from the darkness and kills your character, taking your own heart with it.
12.) Long/short hair?
Long and curly, and a pain in the arse, too. Have you ever tried to brush curly hair?
172cm (that is 5’7”-ish for those who prefer non-metric terms). Taller than the majority of my friends, but shorter than my boyfriend, which is extremely frustrating. It has its perks, though. Sometimes, it’s nice to be the shorter one.
I’m indifferent, although admittedly if I wear hoodies, I will never wear the hood up.
15.) Eye colour?
It’s not brown, and they sparkle in the sun.
16.) Hair colour?
Rather dark, I’d say. I was never one of those gorgeous blonds.
17.) Shirt colour?
I’m actually wearing my boyfriend’s sweatshirt right now - it’s blue.
18.) Jeans or shorts?
Shorts. The only thing noteworthy about me is probably my legs.
19.) Get married?
Ever since I met him, I’ve become that girl that dreams of having a happy family.
20.) Have kids?
Definitely. Humans are all born with hearts of gold. Raise them right, and they’ll be just as kind as you.
21.) Get divorced?
22.) Ever or still do wet the bed?
I’ve never had that issue, no.
23.) Had or have depression?
I have it, yes. I’m fascinated by the actual workings of the condition, too, and the differences between male and female responses to it. Men tend to ignore it, women tend to dwell upon it. Men brood and blame others, women cry and blame themselves. The causings of it never fail to amuse me. A lack of hormones? A person’s mentality? Funny how something could impact me so horribly that I would cause myself to rot. Humans are pathetically fragile.
Some of my fantasies lead to rather good story ideas.
25.) Thought of food?
Eh, well, I think about it almost constantly. I would say I’m a glutton, but I’ve starved myself too many times to count.
26.) Someone you love?
He’s purely fictional. And as for the other - he and I have yet to determine whether these sparks are more than the average crush.
27.) Someone you hate?
Honest to God, I hate myself.
28.) Dream job?
Research anything and everything. Explore possibilities and perceptions and actualities, uncover what makes a human tick (and in my mind, it is not the circulation of blood through the heart), stumble upon psychology at its finest. Write about abstract concepts, publish my own discoveries, discover more. Wend my way through the human mind, the stitchings of the Universe, combine my love of science and religion and English and show that all can work together - the how and the why, put into comprehensible terminology for someone else through the English I speak, but in my own language.
29.) Got tattoos?
I do not. But if I were to have one, it would be situated on my wrist or ankle - perhaps a rose? I’m infatuated with the plant, honestly, there’s a reason my username is this. Blooming an array of colours, and each hue has a meaning. Nature tells a story of its own; I wish we humans were worthy of knowing it.
Double, in both earlobes. I never had the interest of advancing to the cartilage.
31.) Worst day of your life?
Perhaps the day I realized my own limits, yet still insisted upon triumphing them.
32.) Best day of your life?
From my experience so far, I have had no such day. I nurse a foolish desire to see us last to our wedding day.
33.) Biggest fear?
Agateophobia, the fear of insanity. Their eyes have been opened too wide, perhaps freed from the finite human mind? But, unable to handle that knowledge, they slipped and fell, because humanity was not worthy nor capable of possessing such power. I do not wish to be alienated by my fellows if they see me to be a bit “crooked” in the sense that I am not the same as they. From which springs autophobia, the fear of isolation. I do not wish to perish alone and unloved, and yet the presence of certain people make me feel threatened. Maybe I am mad - and therein lies the fear that I, myself, am not sane. And the vicious circle continues.
34.) Biggest insecurity that you know of?
My own skin.
One song: Unravel
, by TK.
Two movies: God’s Not Dead
, The 5th Wave
Three shows: Tokyo Ghoul
, Doctor Who
, Gravity Falls
Four people: Sister, brother, friend, lover.
Five foods: Onigiri, fish and chips, grilled chicken salad, spaghetti, pizza.
1.) Introduce yourself in all the languages that you know/are learning.
“Hello, love, my name is SilveretteRose, otherwise known as Grace.” (according to Steam, traditional)
“Wassup, dude, I’m Silver. But you can totally call me Grace ’cause we gonna be besties!” (according to Steam, simplified)
“Bonjour, amour, je m’appelle SilveretteRose, aussi connu sous le nom de Grace.” (somewhat literal…?)
“Ciao, amore, mi chiamo SilveretteRose, Grazia per gli amici!” (a bit rough, sorry)
“¡Hola, amor, me llamo SilveretteRose, pero usted puede llama mi Gracia!”
“Grace is ainm dom. Tá áthas orm buaileadh leat.” (I think this is singular)
“Hajimemashite, Grace desu. Dōzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.” (I think this is right)
“Ich heiße Grace. Es freut mich Sie kennen zu lernen.” (my German is rusty)
“Olá, amor, meu nome é Gracia. Muito prazer.” (and then there’s this, hah)
2.) Tell me your top 5 fandoms!
1. Tokyo Ghoul
3. Attack on Titan
4. Corpse Party
5. Black Butler
(adding the sixth so my Hetalian fans don't freak out)
3.) What do you think your life would be like without fandoms?
I’m unsure. I’d probably spend much more time outside than on my laptop, but at the same time, I turn to these fictional works when I’m feeling down. The show/anime/manga/book will often cheer me up.
4.) Top three things on your bucket list?
1. Have a relationship that lasts until I have hair the colour of greying snow.
2. Visit Japan. I’ve had enough of America and Europe; too boring.
3. I’d love to publish at least one of my original works.
5.) Where do you think your talents lie?
Definitely my voice and my overall musical ability, alongside my intelligence and athleticism. My writing could certainly use some work.
6.) What’s the most absurd dream you’ve ever had?
Hn, remember that one with America that I based an entire crack fic off of? The rainbow one, yeah? That was pretty strange, although it is by far not one of the weirdest dreams my subconscious has ever blessed me with. I’d rather not share those.
7.) If you could bring just one fictional character from any series to life, who would it be?
This is the question I dread. But I suppose I’d choose Ken Kaneki - his life is too much of a tragedy for me to bear.
8.) Tag your friends here, yay!
, and TheSchemingTurtle (you don't have to do the tag if you don't want to. I just wanted to acknowledge you all as my friends and thank you for supporting me this entire time. I truly do appreciate it).
9.) Who do you look up to on dA?
, and KisstheRain272
.10.) What would you do if someone were to criticise your talents?
It depends upon the method they went about doing so, and if they had enough knowledge on the subject to make an accurate judgement. Flamers are never welcome, but I appreciate constructive criticism just as much as the next writer/singer/actor/artist/athlete.
11.) Describe yourself how you would describe a character you’re introducing.
As soon as you step into the coffee shop, you see her from the corner of your eye.
She sits there, behind the serving counter, a small white teacup filled with dark coffee placed in front of her—the blend is black, nothing special. Her figure is slim, rather malnourished, and her skin pale. Dark, curly hair tumbles in natural ringlets over her hunched shoulders, and her slender hands grip a book tightly, its spine resting on the wooden counter. Her eyes are cast downward, the skin beneath them dark and heavy with lack of sleep, scanning the pages at a rather fast pace. You’re unable to make out their colour from your distance, although there’s a sparkle there, something kind, but also something sad. The cover of the book is black, a single blooming rose in its center, glossy silver with specks of glowing blood dotting its immaculate leaves. The title reads Epeolatry in elegant cursive font, but the author’s name is hidden from your sight by her thin fingers. There’s nothing eye-catching about this girl (her clothes are fairly plain: a tight black shirt and a flannel top over it, unbuttoned, and the rest obscured by the counter), she’s a normal-looking college student, and yet you find yourself walking toward her slowly.
“Excuse me?” you ask softly, not wishing to startle her.
She glances up calmly, a gentle smile turning up the corners of her lips. “Yes?”
There’s a slight accent to her words; English? It’s faint, but there, although you aren’t sure which region of the country she’s from just by listening to her speak. You shake your head and concentrate on the young woman once more. You still aren’t sure what initially drew you to her, so you point quickly to the book in her hands. “Your book…what’s it about? I saw the cover…”
Her eyes dart to the thick novel in her hands. “Oh, this old thing?” She laughs quietly. “It’s a rather sad tale, to be honest. I believe it’s based around the philosophy that bad things happen to good people. Very blunt, this story…”
“Ah, I see.” You’re silent for a second, simply gazing at the book, before you raise your eyes to lock with hers once more. “Um…I didn’t mean to intrude,” you apologize suddenly. “I was just…something…” You trail off, unsure of how to continue.
She chuckles. “It’s all right. Not everyone takes notice of this work,” she says, sounding a bit melancholic, yet the smile does not fade from her face. “I suppose it’s simply because the notion it’s based around is unpopular.”
“Is that so?”
She nods. “Mhm. But I think it’s fairly brilliant, to be honest. Although, I guess that’s a bit biased of me.” She suddenly shuts the book and sets it aside, but her hand continues to hide the front of it, shielding the cover from you. “What’s your name?” she asks abruptly, flashing you another grin.
You tell her, and she repeats it, nodding.
“Lovely name. Everyone has one, but yours is quite nice. I like it.” She reaches over to her cup and picks it up, taking a quick sip from it before setting it down upon its china plate and glancing at the clock. “Blimey, time passes fast. I hate to say this, but I have to head upstairs!”
“Upstairs?” you inquire, confused. “You live here?”
She smiles. “An old friend of mine owns the place. I work here to help him out, but I was on break just now.”
Your eyes widen at her words. “I didn’t mean to take up your time!”
“No, no, it’s fine!” She makes a dismissive gesture, easily waving you off. “I enjoyed talking with you, no matter how brief. People don’t find me very approachable, you see…” There it is, that sad glimmer in her eye once more. It accompanies the gentle gleam that’s already present, making her seem timid. She shakes her head. “Ah, well, it’s the present that matters! I appreciate you coming to talk with me,” she says kindly, extending her hand out to you.
You take it and give it a firm shake before withdrawing. Your eyes are once more pulled to the novel sitting on the counter beside her coffee. “Um…before you go, I have to ask…what would you say that book’s about, really? You said it was somewhat sad…”
The girl pauses in her haste to clear away her coffee and thinks for a moment before picking up the book slowly. Examining the cover for a long minute, she turns suddenly and pushes it into your hands. “It’s a tragedy,” she answers, turning her back on you and placing the porcelain teacup into the stainless steel sink behind the counter.
“Yes. But it’s well worth the read, I assure you,” she replies, turning back around to face you as she bends over to retrieve something off the ground—a bag that she slings over her shoulder. She emerges from behind the counter and places a hand on the handle of the “Employees Only” door just beside it, beginning to twist it.
“H-Hey!” you call out to stop her, bringing the novel in your hands up. “You forgot this!”
“No.” She smiles again. “You should read it. I won’t take it back until you do.”
You frown, bringing the book back so it presses against your chest. “But…how will I return it to you?”
She laughs. “Oh, just bring it by this shop. I’m always here, hanging around. Don’t worry about it.”
“Can I at least…have your name so I know who to ask for, in case you aren’t here?” you ask, glancing down at the book.
The door behind her suddenly opens, and a young man pokes his head of mousy brown hair through. “Hey, Gr— oh, there you are!” His blue eyes fill with relief. “You’re needed upstairs.”
She nods. “Of course. But first—” Her eyes dart back to you, and she tells you her full name. “It was nice speaking with you.”
“Grace,” you repeat her first name, much like she had done with your own not minutes earlier. You hug the novel to you tightly and smile at her. “Thank you for lending me this book. I’ll return it to you soon!”
“Take your time. I’ve read it plenty of times,” she reassures you, something tugging at the corners of her mouth— a smirk?
“It must be good, then. Who is the author, anyway?” You bring the book out in front of you and scan the cover, eyes darting over the title,Epeolatry, and the silver rose and down to the bottom, where a name is printed in crimson. You read it once, then twice, then a third time, wondering if your eyes are deceiving you. The author is— “Grace?”
You look up in disbelief, but the girl and her male friend are gone.
Slowly, your eyes drop back down to the book in your hands, and you gaze at it in shock, then slowly flip open to the first page, taking in the words that have been typed so carefully—it’s a small footer, something that hints at what’s to come. You read it quietly aloud to yourself.
“‘The written word can accomplish such wondrous things. It can raise you higher than Heaven itself and show you the stars, or strike you down to Hell and devour you from the inside out. Words are dangerous, and those who wield them possess such terrifying power. The written word can drive even a perfectly sane mind mad. Epeolatry: the worship of words. Logophobia: the fear of words. We all have a nasty habit of practicing both.’ By SilveretteRose,” you whisper, eyes darting to the door Grace and her friend had vanished through.
“Otherwise known as—”
12.) Is there any specific ritual you go through while/before/after your writing? It’s funny you ask that. I drown my Writer’s Block in coffee and blast
Guren No Yumiya and other epic songs, but when I have inspiration, I tend to sip tea (preferably Earl Grey or some sort of green tea) and listen to the soundtrack from whichever anime I’m currently writing for.
13.) What is your absolute favourite kind of fic to write?
Series with plenty of symbolism and memorable quotes, definitely. Oneshots are often spontaneous and I dislike the style my words adopt when I word vomit; the dialogue is particularly cringeworthy.
14.) Are there any other fic writers you admire? If so, who and why?
I have failed to find many talented writers besides my friends and writers that I have mentioned above that take the time to check over the quality of their work. How hard is it to spellcheck when the majority of programs nowadays do it for you? Is it really that difficult to discern the difference between “defiantly” and “definitely”? Or “quiet” and “quite”? It literally takes maybe three seconds to hit the backspace and make the correction.
15.) How many words can you write if you sit down and concentrate intensely for an hour?
An average oneshot/chapter of mine ranges from thirteen to sixteen pages on Google Docs. You do the math.
16.) First fic/pairing you wrote for? (If no pairing, describe the plot)
I began with
Yu-Gi-Oh!, if you can imagine that. I enjoyed the ever-angsty pairing of Ryou Bakura X Yami Bakura, ugh.
17.) Inspiration, time, or motivation. Choose two.
Inspiration and motivation. There is never time.
18.) Why do you choose to write?
Because I want to convey what I see to the rest of you.
19.) Do you ever have plans to write anything other than fic?
Of course. These original stories of mine stay mine, however. I’m afraid they’ll never be published.
20.) What inspires you the most?
I wish I knew.
21.) Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing/etc.?
I received an offer from a game developer company to write a script for one of their games, but it had to be specifically full of shameless ecchi (fanservice/smut). I considered it for a while, but truly, the actual details of sexual acts make me somewhat uncomfortable when I attempt to write them. Needless to say, I refused that offer despite its publicity benefits.
22.) A fic you wish you had written better, and why?
The very first Prussia X Reader I ever wrote. It was in honour of Gilbert after Himaruya released the strip that confirmed Gilbert’s loss of immortality - dubbing it canon that Gilbert could not heal after being bitten by one of the dogs.
23.) Favourite fic from another author?
A fantastic Attack on Titan Eren X Reader series, Broken Bird, written by Griiffn.
24.) Your favourite side pairings to put in?
Ehm, I don’t understand.
25. Your guilty writing pleasure?
An excess amount of fluff with different male characters that captured my affections (Ken Kaneki, Eren Jaeger, Sebastian Michaelis, Yoshiki Kishinuma, and Arthur Kirkland).
26.) Do you have structured ideas of how your story is supposed to go, or make it up as you write?
The majority of the time when I write for a series, I create a document for every bit of information I would ever need to write a series. This includes the genre, a list of the characters, a summary, general important info (details I may forget when writing that I need to check up on), as well as the entire plotline (literally what’s going to happen throughout the story). I will then go on to plot out each chapter using bullet points, writing out the important events of the chapter and key symbols and such. I will also include a section for possible future events I may want to incorporate (these are random ideas that just occur to me out of nowhere), and another section for plot points that must be referenced (tiny things I slip into chapters that will turn out to be the catalysts for bigger events in chapters that take place afterward). Then, once that is completed, I begin to flesh out each chapter until the entire series is completed. As for oneshots, well - those sort of just happen.
27.) Would you describe yourself as a fast writer?
My mind rushes ahead of my fingers, and yet I’m a fast typer.
28.) How old were you when you started writing?
I was fascinated by the English language when I was but a tiny little lass living across the Atlantic Ocean, back home.
29.) Why did you start writing?
Because I wanted, and still want, to convey what I
see to the rest of you.30.) Excepts from your work that you’re proud of?
“‘So please, Grisha….don’t let my family turn into what I fear it will. We must be more than the despicable monsters my bloodline has become. Give me the word that you will watch over them until the time calls for them to bear witness to Hell, and then….promise me then that you will find a way to get them where they need to be. Keep those lockets around their necks, their minds in ignorant bliss, and those smiles on their faces, right up until the moment life comes crashing down around them. Promise me, and then I can die happily.’” (Life Worth Living)
“There are no accommodations for the fragile. But as you tilt your head back to stare at the fake glowing stars of the Underground of Mitras and listen to the song of sorrow once more, you can’t help but wish there was.” (Life Worth Living)
“‘Do you realize….where we are? This place….is our….my…. This is my hometown. This place is the one you destroyed. This is the place….where my mother….she was devoured because of your actions. I don’t think you understand me, Reiner. I’m not going to just kill you. I’m going to pound your Titan into the ground until it’s nothing more than a mess of flesh and blood, where you can’t discern your Titan apart from your human form. I’m going to grind your bones into dust and ensure that you feel the utmost agony as I do so. I’m going to kill you, I’m going to kill you, I’m going to kill you, I’m going to murder you. Shiganshina was my home, and I’m going to slaughter you in cold blood like you slaughtered my people. GET OUT OF MY CITY, REINER! TAKE YOUR GODDAMN TITANS AND FUCKING G E T O U T!’” (Life Worth Living)
“She sighed. ‘He’s impulsive. A temperamental, merciless, hotheaded, dense, reckless, idiotic, suicidal bastard that has an unhealthy penchant for Titan-killing. But he’s powerful, intelligent, courageous, persistent, and loyal as well, and that’s what makes him such a good hunter. Yes, that’s the perfect word for him— a hunter.’ She smiled, as though she made a clever joke.
‘Why are you smiling like that? Did I miss something?’ Marlo furrowed his eyebrows.
‘Oh no, you didn’t miss anything,’ she answered with a chuckle.” (Life Worth Living)
“Words can drive a mind mad — and that’s exactly what they’ve done to both of you.” (Epeolatry)
“Meanwhile, the crimson and golden leaves danced, the trees swayed with the wind, and Ken Kaneki flipped to the next page of his book.” (Epeolatry)
“The Shifter suddenly straightened up and twisted toward him, something red and glowing and writhing blossoming around her like a gruesome flower: her kagune. That giggle, that beautiful yet horrifying chuckle, emerged from her lips as she once more threw her head back and roared with laughter. The predatory weapon thrashed about uncontrollably, and the ghoul tilted her head to the side again as she continued to snicker. ‘Tell me, Amon Koutarou—’ Her laughter ceased instantly, and her voice grew soft. ‘—why is it that ghouls have more humanity than humanity itself?’” (Epeolatry)
“He smelt of Earl Grey tea and secretive, dusty, mystical spellbooks. Surrounded by the unmistakable scent of musty, century-old, unpredictable magic and strange, hazardous, bubbling potions that never seemed to perform the act they were brewed for. The fragrance of his national flower, the gorgeous Tudor rose, along with the marigolds he liked to grow in his enchanting garden. The calming smell of the foaming sea and its salty, tangy air; the familiar trace of alcohol, rum and ale, here and there. Scones and treacle tarts and custards and trifles; desserts of all kinds he could never prepare himself mixed with the ever-present delicious aromas of the teas he admired so. A tiny whiff of cigarette smoke, along with a fresh, cool breeze of London air, saturated with routine rain.” (I Have Seen the Unspeakable)
“When you looked him in the eye and gave him permission, and you began the last minutes of your life, in your final moments you couldn’t help but think, what an appealing death it was.” (Mortem Appellationis)
“The girl begins to paint a picture for the men in the tavern, her words shifting to become colourful and full of magic. She tells it so whimsically and beautifully that it feels as though the men are really there, that they’ve entered the Golden Age of the Pirates and are witnessing one of the biggest battles between the forces of the sea ever. The girl’s words swirl about them, weaving a tale so adventurous and thrilling and magical and breathtaking, it couldn’t have been anything more than a merely that—a tale.” (Jewel of the Seven Seas)
“‘There’s no such thing as a fearless human,’ he says suddenly, his golden gaze boring into your own (e/c) one. ‘Even though you all deny it, you know it’s true. In all my years….I’ve never met a human without fear. And do you know why?’ He snickers malevolently, tracing his left hand up your arm, along your shoulder, and behind your neck, tangling his fingers into your (h/c) locks. ‘It’s because humanity is nothing more than a race of feeble, trembling children. Compared to the rest of the universe, (Name)….you’re naïve, susceptible to even the weakest of demons. The tiniest breeze can knock you down. You are the lowest species. And your subconscious knows it, too. You are playthings.’” (Dancing With the Devil)
“The Doctor had a funny habit of showing up exactly in the nick of time, right when he was so urgently needed. And you meant exactly right before. He somehow made it a tendency to cut it very close and give you a heart attack. He never managed to get there when the bomb wasn’t about to go off, or when the aliens weren’t about to fire on Earth, but he always arrived just in time to stop it. You didn’t know how he managed it, or why he claimed he was completely in control of this little habit when he so obviously wasn’t, but you decided it wasn’t important. So long as he got to the place he was needed, you could care less. Especially when he came to running to you, because both you and the Doctor knew that it was there he was needed most.” (Time’s Golden Curse)
“‘This is certainly going to prove troublesome, and I am in no mood for games.’” (Agateophobia)
Use one or more of your OCs, maybe even add yourself if you please to take this interview test (more or less people can be added or changed).
1.) Give us your full names, if you don’t mind?
Silver: “Grace [unavailable], but you can call me SilveretteRose.”
Akari: “Akari Kiyoshi Akiyama, but you can call me CrimsonetteLily.”
Silver: “Ignore him, he’s being an asshole.”
Akari: “Okay, sorry, I didn’t mean it! Please don’t be angry!”2.) All right. Let’s start with the questions, shall we?
A. How old are you both?
Akari: “Eighteen. But my age can vary depending on the fic she’s writing, too. It jumps around, whether she needs me to be a college student or a little kid to correspond with the plot.”
Silver: “Personally, I enjoy it when Akari’s older. He’s smart enough by that point to know when to keep his mouth shut.”
Akari: “Wow, rude.”
B. Do you guys want a hug?
Akari: “I enjoy hugs from close friends. Maybe we should talk a bit more?”
Silver: “Akari’s more accepting than I am. I don’t like to be touched, honestly, unless I initiate it.”C. Have any bad habits?
Akari: “I put others’ needs before my own, even if it’s dangerous. I trust people when lives are on the line.”
Silver: “Akari is a pretty selfless guy, whereas I endanger others with my pride and lack trust in others.”D. Either of you a virgin?
Akari: “E-Eh, well um—” [coughs awkwardly] “—I’d rather not say.”
Silver: “Akari’s a prude, much like myself. We have a rule about ‘no sex before marriage.’”E. Have any kids?
Akari: “No. But I’d like some when I get married!”
Silver: “Here’s hoping for him, I guess.”F. Favourite food or drink?
Silver: “I personally know for a fact Akari enjoys the bentos I make for him, especially the onigiri shaped into bunnies.”
Akari: “You weren’t supposed to tell them about that!”G. Killed anyone?
Akari: “I’ve done so to protect those I love, yes.”
Silver: “Akari is extremely loyal to his loved ones. He’d kill for them.”H. What is your idea of a date?
Akari: “I enjoy the quiet and the calm. Anywhere that fulfills those requirements is the place for me!”
Silver: “Akari and I share similar tastes when it comes to outing places. The library is one of our favourites.”I. Any artistic talents?
Akari: “I can paint okay, I guess. But Grace can write!”
Silver: “Shut up, I can write decently. But Akari’s an extremely talented artist and musician. He adores painting, and he’s a regular prodigy when it comes to the piano.”J. Love anyone?
Akari: “Grace is pretty cool, but she kind of created me, so I guess that’s a given.”
Silver: “In my fics, Akari is often paired with the Reader, and it ranges from as a brother to a romantic interest.”K. What is your job?
Akari: “Varies. Sometimes my occupation is a student, and others it’s me being a quiet, sexy librarian. Grace is unpredictable.”
Silver: “Akari is very artsy, so chances are you’ll find him working as an English teacher, or in a library, yes. Whereas I am a young fledgling in college, looking at an English major, and perhaps psychology.”L. Favourite season and least favourite season?
Akari: “Fall happens to be my favourite. I adore the colours of the leaves, and Halloween is pretty great. I love horror. As for least favourite...I’d say summer. Too hot for my taste.”
Silver: “Akari enjoys the scary aspect of Halloween. I’m a fan of the holiday myself, but winter is my favourite season. I enjoy the snow and hot chocolate, and Christmas and Winter Break are two very good things. And summer is also my least favourite season. I dislike the heat.”M. Who’s your best friend?
Akari: “If it’s not Grace, will I get in trouble?”
Silver: “Akari is close friends with many girls, as he’s attractive, but the airhead doesn’t realize it. He also makes many guy friends through his love of sports. He enjoys the Arts, but football (soccer), basketball, and swimming happen to be sports he enjoys as well.”N. Hobbies?
Silver: “I enjoy anything that has to do with the Arts, similar to Akari.”
Akari: “Hanging out with Grace is pretty fun. I also like playing the piano, and savouring the outdoors. When I was a kid, I used to go exploring in the woods behind my house. I liked to think there was magic somewhere.”O. What are you going to do when this tag is over?
Akari: “Maybe snack on some pretzels and watch her write. S’all she does, really.”P. What is your eye color?
Silver: “My eyes aren’t brown.”
Akari: “My eyes are the blue colour that the sky makes right before the sun sets...sort of cobalt.”Q. Are you good? Or bad?
Akari: “It depends on your own views, really. I’ve killed, but I’ve also saved lives.”
Silver: “I have much more to do before I could ever see myself as ‘good.’”R. If you could get anything right now what would it be?
Akari: “My mother back.”
Silver: “[unavailable].”T. Does your name have a special meaning?
Silver: “I have an infatuation with roses. But my birth name is ‘the grace of God.’ It’s associated with my religion.”
Akari: “Akari is typically a female name. However, I was given this name because my mother saw it fit. There are other names in Japanese that mean ‘light’ admittedly, but Mum has always been fond of this one.”V. Any siblings?
Akari: “I’m the oldest. After me, it goes Hikari, then Ren, then Yumi Akiyama.”W. Where do you live?
Akari: “Tokyo was my birthplace, but I follow Grace wherever she goes.”X. Do you find yourself attractive?
Akari: “I like my hair. It’s the colour of chocolate.”
Silver: “No. But Akari’s pretty damn hot - maybe even sexy.”
Akari: “Wha—?!”Y. Was this fun?
Silver: “I’m indifferent.”Z. Any last words?
Akari: “The colours of my roses are white and blue—”
Silver: “—And my own flowers are red and black.”
Akari: “Remember that. Colours have lots of meanings, and numbers too—”
Silver: “—And I include a lot of symbolism in my fics. It might do you some good to research.”
And that’s the end of the tags! Apologies that it was so long, but kudos to you if you made it to the end!
Goodbye for now! Enjoy your morning/afternoon/evening/night!
