Ex-gay isn't really something, those who call themself "ex-gay" are just straight people that had temporal atracction to someone of the same sex (because some straight people can have temporal homosexual tendencies (and viceversa with gays), and then because of that atraction being gone ( maybe after some experimentation with someone of the same gender) and realizing they are indeed straight they think that they "mAgicAlly cHanGeD" sexuality and they atribute that to Christian Stuff ( I have nothing against religion, I think some people need it to feel better and that's okay!)
A sexuality is not something you can change, you can just experiment and discover more about that. Is common to doubt about it and question it during puberty or after that.
