Changes...
After 21 years I'm changing my username. The previous one - vanishingpoint - was just me trying to think of something cool (and failing, LOL!). This new one is more me.
I'm really more interested in traditional art nowadays. I still love the work that digital artists are doing, but the stuff that gets me really excited is the work I see of artists like Alpay Efe, Casey Baugh, Lindsey Kustusch, and Jeremy Mann. It speaks to me.
I'm all about handmade stuff now.
I feel like my goals as an illustrator pushed me to do stuff that I was not happy with. I was doing stuff that I thought would make other people happy - I was a slave to a product or corporate mission. As an illustrator/graphic designer, I was strictly trying to sell something. Although I see lots of illustrators and designers creating amazing personal work with a message, I was not living in that world. I was a low-level guy hocking obscure products.
