Before Ataru married Farahi, he had a brief fling with Penda that resulted in the birth of their daughter Kiara- who was named by Ataru as his rightful heir. His wife Fahari hated it and did not hide it to Penda nor Kiara- spreading rumors that the lioness was wicked and trying to poison the king's mind for power which was not true. Penda though did her best to ignore the rumors as if she reacted how Fahari wanted, it wouldn't help her case. Nevertheless, after Ataru's death during the war against the hyenas, the pride did not right Queen Farahi when she exiled Penda and send Kiara away to another pride.
