Nuka is the first-born son to Scar and Zira however, unknown to Scar the cub had a sister that zira left to die for being a female. It was for nothing though as zira's hopes that scar would be pleased with the son she gave him, were crushed by the Mad King rejecting the weak and sickly looking newborn- rejecting him as his flesh and blood. Due to this zira hated the son she bore, barely looking after him which other lionesses in the pride had to do for her. While still a young cub the fight over the Pridelands started with the return of the rightful king Simba- and ended with Scar's death. While simba welcomed any who wished to stay, he exiled those refusing to accept scar had not been the rightful king- leaving Zira to take her son and two newborns she stole to the outlands. Growing up Nuka never stopped trying to gain his mother's love and approval, even becoming obsessed like she was with getting revenge on Simba- hating that she claimed Kovu was the chosen one by scar.
Zira's plan backfired as a young adult kovu ended up falling in love with Simba's daughter Kiara- and even tried to save him from Zira's ambush. Nuka saw a chance to avenge Scar and took it, chasing Simba up the mountain of logs blocking the great lake of the canyons- but one wrong move ended Nuka's life as he was crushed to death. His death left his newborn cubs without a father as their mother, who has been rumored but not confirmed to be- dumped them onto the lion.
