The couple both next that her health was getting worse, that the sickly leopard did not have much time left. Both their adopted daughters were grown, with one being an expecting mother and their only son close to his adult years. Nyasi took his beloved wife out, aiding her as she struggled to walk into the night to settle and watch the stars one last time. Neither of them said it to one another or their children, but they both knew that her time had come, as the snuggled with fireflies dancing around them.

About an hour in and Nyasi had felt the moment Avannia took her last breath, felt her body go heavy and limp like she could at last relax in peace. She had a smile on her face and a few tears that fell from her eyes- Avannia looked like she simply fell asleep, nothing more and nothing less but being at peace. His heart tore into pieces as he clung to her, as if praying this was a dream- but he love was gone and among the stars as his guardian angel, until the day they would be reunited on the other side.
