Symba simply did not care that his mate died, only furious that she gave him a daughter instead of a son. Nevertheless the lion raised his daughter, but with a stern and firm claw- always scolding her and never letting her forget the fact she was born a female, and would never be the son he deserved. Even as she grew, Symba criticized her, and even blamed her for her mother's death. When the Nguvu rebellion took place her father of course, was a strong believer and supported uprising of course- which did not shock Inaya given who he made it clear, she was never the cub he wanted due to her gender. Eventually he passed away after getting gravely sick
