PRE-GROUP HISTORY

Her Parents did not marry out of love, they didn't even mate out of love- all her father Baraq cared about was having a son, something he failed to do with his actual wife who passed during the flooding along with their unborn cubs she carried. Her death didn't even affect him- she was weak enough to let the storms that chased Nguvu out of its own land temporarily, be her end and the end of the cubs she was growing inside her. Zerlinda, a typical quiet and obedient lioness of Nguvu agreed to carry the lion's cubs as they returned to their lands- just in time for a sickness to hit the prides. However, the sickness had everyone keeping a safe distance at first from one another and from the other prides- Nguvu's king blaming both Usta and Mlima for the illness, which Baraq agreed with the king. Finally, as things seemed to calm down, the pair tried for a cub after two failed attempts during the peak of the sickness- which they assumed it was due to the stress they both were under along with the pride.

However, Baraq fell sick with the cursed illness and passed easily after about a month. Due to being in quarantine, he wasn't even able to meet his cub- but lived long enough to find out it was a cursed daughter! Zerlinda did not care mainly since a few days after the birth of their daughter the male died. She had a daughter, and she would raise her like a good Nguvu Lioness. A male only cared about having a son, but to Zerlinda was joyful to have a daughter- to her it meant that her own daughter could provide strong sons for the pride- where Zerlinda failed to do so. Though, Najuma doesn't agree with her pride's views it's the way of Nguvu and she knows her place sadly. Now almost a young adult, Najuma is very much on her own, as her mother moved on given the cub is almost a grown adult. Despite she doesn't agree with Nguvu being closed off without allies and so hostile to outsiders- Najuma knows she can do nothing but obey their laws, it was better than risking being labeled a traitor like those three lionesses that left Nguvu.

GROUP HISTORY

It's the winter season in the lands, and despite Najuma hates the winter she works hard still in rising within the ranks of a Hunter. One day after training, Najuma saved a cub from the frozen waters but ended up falling in through the ice nearly drowning. Luckily another pride member saw what happened and saved Najuma before, taking her to the healers where she met Osi- the son of Nguvu's Lead Healer. As Najuma worked towards her goal of becoming a Hunter main, a slip in the snow sent her right back to Healer Apprentice Osi once more- but it seems to lead the pair into a surprising friendship. Osi seemed comfortable enough to even vent to Najuma when he learns, his own absent mother becomes pregnant with the cubs of Valkelo- a dear friend of Osi's father, maybe more than just a friend though.

It seemed though Najuma helped Osi see a side that maybe he hadn't thought of, by giving him her point of view as a female in Nguvu and when it came to their little say in raising sons they bear. With this it did surprise Najuma to hear Osi make a promise she isn't sure he can keep- To keep her safe; How could he though? The day would come where she would not have a say if a male wanted her to bear him sons after all, how would Osi protect her then?

With news of Usta under attack by hostile rogues also came with shocking changes to Nguvu, made by their very own crowned prince. Females are to be treated as equals. Siku Ya Mama was coming back to celebrate mothers. Cubs were to be born out of love not a need for a son. Najuma couldn't believe her ears. All her life she had been taught nothing would change in Nguvu, but it seemed she was dead wrong. On one particular day, Najuma wasn't exactly fond of a certain male that didn't take the hint she was far from interested in him- the hunter was even close to slapping him with an open claw if he so much as tried to get closer than he already was. Luckily though she didn't have to; Osi a close friend of Her's saw what was going on and stepped in. Given who his dad was and him being close to the newly crowned King, at least got the male to back off for now at least but Najuma sighed knowing the male wouldn't give up. He hadn't yet for the last couple of weeks, looking at her like a piece of meat which gave her the chills.

The fact she was uncomfortable didn't go past Osi as his promise he made once to her came into his mind. The promise to protect her from males in the pride using her just for cubs- even though that law had been taken away, males still wouldn't change how they looked at females in this pride. Why would they just because the king deemed those that earned their respect should be respected and seen as an equal? Najuma was the one who accidently put it in his mind that most females were forced into having cubs most of the time, when they spoke about his mother and half-little brothers. So Osi made a proposal- literally actually, that they marry to protect her from males using her for cubs and it also would help him given he wouldn't have to marry someone and forced to have cubs himself. This was a marriage to benefit and protect one another, but still Najuma couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat or two knowing her unspoken feelings for him.

Then the death of newly crowned king Yaghzu fell upon the pride and his half-brother who was more ruthless took the throne. With his reign came stricter and more misogynistic views and laws against females within Nguvu- allowing kidnapping of females outside Nguvu just for males to have someone to produce cubs with, as now all Nguvu members needed at least a biological cub. This rocked both Najuma and Osi to their cores- and despite osi’s fears of childbirth due to losing his aunt when she birthed her daughters, Najuma was able to reassure Osi and the pair promised to face whatever comes next together- even if that meant they had no choice really but to produce cubs together, lest some male steals her for cubs.

Luckily the couple was blessed with twins as it didn't take long for them to fall pregnant with their first litter. The birthing went well much to Osi's relief as they were now the proud parents of a son and a daughter. Not a day later the couple finally admitted feelings for one another.

As their twins grew closer into their teenage years, the games were announced to be hosted by usta- to which Najuma suggested to her husband they all take part in the events together, like a little vacation for the family. Her husband agreed and it was during the games after an event her husband won, that Osi took Najuma out during a nightly stroll and proposed to her once more- this time out of love and not a need to protect her. Of course, Najuma said yes!

During their first real honeymoon the subject of cubs came up, with the couple agreeing maybe it was time for another a litter. However, those plans were put on hold when a harsh winter hit the prides, but while they agreed to wait, the universe did not have plans on waiting as Najuma and Osi discovered they would be having their second litter close to the end of the winter season. The couple welcomed their second born daughter, and their last cub Yagavi into the world - named in honor of former Nguvu King, and friend of Osi and Najuma Yaghzu.

As their eldest litter grew into fine adults, it wasn't too long before Najuma and Osi would find out their Son Rey had a special someone in his life, Sikudhani who had been one of Yagavi's Cubsitters when she was still young. Najuma was over the moon for her son that he had found love and even more so when she learned they were expecting cubs together, Like the rest of the family they welcomed the twin boys into the world and into their loving family.
