This is my Version of Kovu and Vitani's Biological Family. To be these two are full siblings stolen by zira
Jelani and His mate Liara were from the northren pride, otherwise known as The Ndona Pride- where Sarafina's mother is orginally from, as well as Princess Amani, Sister to Taka/Scar and Mufasa moved to after marrying into an aristocrat family within the pride. Like all lionesses when they are near their time to cub, Liara went off far from the pride to give birth alone and in solitary for the saftey of the cubs she carried. She gave birth to four cubs, two boys and two girls whom she loved deeply as did her mate once he was able to come see their offspring. Jelani always brought food to his mate who was left exhusted from the long birth to such a big litter.
One day before the cubs could even open their eyes, Zira came across the new mother and her litter. Zira had just given birth to her second litter with Scar, but sadly the cub was stillborn due to the lack of good food within the pridelands- causing her to bury her cub in shame for failing her mate once more, like he claimed she had with their first born and weak son Nuka, and a female cub he had her leave in the outlands for dead. Desperate to please Scar, Zira killed a weak Liara and was only able to steal two of the cubs, barely getting away with them as Jelani had returned during the murder and cubnapping. He was unable to chase after zira, as he did not want to risk leaving the two remaining cubs for predetors near by, and greived for his mate before taking his remaining son and daughter back to the pride to find someone willing to nurse them. Jelani went searching for his missing cubs, even crossing borders to follow her scent- but the rain that helped heal the pridelands when Simba returned had washed away her scent, and the scent of his missing cubs.
With a heavy heart, he returned to raise his son and daughter, never hiding from them that they had two siblings out there stolen from their family. He never gave up hope that they were still alive somewhere, and his hope was what kept him alive long enough to meet the newly crowned Queen Kiara, and her King Consort- His lost son Kovu who was alive and well with his sister Vitani

Liara was adopted but I can't locate who I adopted her from. Credit fully goes to them though!
Kovu and Vitani are Orginal Disney Characters. I did adjust Vitani's colors to match her sister a little more honestly, cause I was struggling to find colors for her that I loved. I might end up adjusting Kovu's colors too
