Kibibi was born and raised in the Pridelands. After Simba returned to the pridelands so did many male cubs who had fled- one being a maneless lion named Dumi who had always been trying to win kibibi's heart. She didn't see a maneless lion as worth her time but eventually the lion won her affection enough that they married and were blessed with a daughter named Zuri.
