I'm still lagging behind on the pages, but I managed to get the next one blocked out in thumbnails and the script figured out, so there's something! :'D Anyways, since I'm leaving super soon and won't be able to update while out of the country, I'll give you guys one more Locklear Lore before I go. This one is about the Big Boy™ himself. Lots of people keep inquiring about his ethnicity, so I'll finally clear that mystery up for you all now.
As many of you correctly guessed, Locklear is mixed race. Though no one has managed to pinpoint what exactly his heritage actually is! His father's heritage is Scottish, and his Mother's heritage is Aboriginal Australian. His father's parents immigrated to Australia when his father was a young child, and he grew up there and later met his wife. His mother is not full blooded Aboriginal, as she's several generations out and mixed herself, but still valued that part of her culture. She grew up in the big city that Locklear's father and family moved to.
Locklear takes a bit more after his mother than his father, inheriting her darker complexion, and full curly hair. He also inherited the striking genetic feature you will sometimes see amongst the Aboriginal people that is his piercing blue eyes that strike out so vibrantly against his skin tone.
His build and bone structure, however, more resemble his father, who was a large strapping fellow at 6'2" with well defined features. Locklear, however surpassed his father at an intimidating 6'4" and even more muscle mass. Locklear definitely lifts bro. Bodies.
Locklear left Australia to go attend medical school in the United States, and decided to immigrate there after he graduated. Both of his parents are still alive, but neither one has heard from him since after his breakdown.
Hope you guys enjoyed this new bit of info on Locklear! I'll catch you all next time!
Hey guys! I figured that since I'm still busy getting things ready before I jet off to Italy, and haven't had time to draw, I'd share something else with you to hold you over! So every now and then between updates I'll share some "Locklear Lore" with you guys, so you can learn more about him and the other characters beyond what you can find in the comics or stories alone so far. I've gotten a bunch of people asking about this already, so the first bit of lore for today is regarding Locklear's dearly departed wife.
Evangeline O'laughlin, who would later on become Evangeline Locklear, was a very kind spirited woman. She was a school teacher who loved children and was an all around gentle soul. She was a petite, doll-like little thing with porcelain skin and long dark auburn hair, and her eyes were a deep green.
She was also quite a bit of a dork. She lived to laugh, and it was her love of humor that brought her and Locklear together. One morning on the way to work, Evangeline stopped at the coffee shop near the local hospital to pick up a drink. It was noisy, and the barista had to shout out the names of those who ordered the drinks as they were ready. She heard "Evan" above the chattering crowd, and naturally made her way up to the counter. However, as she picked up the cup, she realized it was for an "Evander". Embarrassed, she motioned to quickly put the drink down before anyone saw her, but the chuckle from the large, blue eyed man behind her told her she'd been caught. They made jokes over the similarity of their names, and spent the rest of their time there that morning chatting with one another. Ultimately, it was Locklear's (at that point in his life) goofy nature and sense of humor that won Evangeline over. Two short years passed and she had become Mrs. Locklear, and they were incredibly happy. And to both of their elation, another year later she found herself pregnant with a baby boy. Locklear was genuinely excited of the prospect of becoming a father, and would never shut up about it at work. That child was going to have him wrapped around their finger.
This, however was cut to a tragic close by a cruel twist of nature. And the rest is history.
And with that, we'll conclude the first piece of Locklear Lore. Hope you guys enjoyed it, and I'll continue to offer more when I'm unable to update. See you guys later!
since coming back here and starting up the Locklear comic, my emotions have gotten really mixed up. I'm so grateful for all of the support while I get back into the swing of drawing. I'm having a lot of fun working on the Locklear story, but it's also made me realize that a part of me is actually starting to miss The Seer. Mind you, it's still not enough to push me to try taking it on again at this moment in time, but for the first time in a year that feeling is there. This leads me to the next thing.
If you check out my gallery, you'll notice that I brought the pages to "The Seer" back out of storage and into a new folder for them. I've also made all of the Seer videos on my Youtube channel public again, so you're free to read/watch those again as you please. The reason I privatized and stored those for a few months was because I was really feeling terrible for a while. My inspiration was completely dead and I felt so guilty about it. And every single day I would get comments begging for its return, and that just made the pain worse, so I thought by privatizing them, it would help.
Those of you who have known me for a long time know that I've changed and grown so much since I first joined this community. Unfortunately, one of the reasons my inspiration died and the comic was such a dark spot for me was because it reminded me of old friendships that died, and old conflicts that are now in the past. I'm not that same bright eyed kid who started the comic as a side project while in school. I'm now a 25 year old woman who works full time, has a lease and bills and real world responsibilities, so all the little dramas I got myself caught up in before just seem so petty and pointless to me now. Part of my fear of picking The Seer up again stems from me wanting to let old conflict rest and not risk stirring anything up that should remain in the past.
But I've stepped away from it long enough that I realize that I /DO/ miss it. The good parts. The fun parts. The fun and whimsical story. I'm still not ready to pick up the helm again, but my thoughts have definitely drifted back to it. Working on my Locklear comic reminded me how much I enjoy actually working on web comics.
I can't make any promises, but I'd like to think that this extended hiatus won't be forever. With how busy my current life is, I'd either have to wait until I finish book one of the Locklear comic, or I'd need to get some help of some kind in making the new pages. IDk. I've got a lot to think about right now. If you've got suggestions, by all means feel free to leave them.
Anyways, I guess the point of this whole rambling journal thing was just to first thank you guys for your continued support. That's honestly played a massive role in my continued motivation. You're all amazing and I truly appreciate you. And secondly, I just wanted to be open and transparent about how I'm feeling in regards to "The Seer", because I feel you deserve to be in the loop while I process my thoughts and emotions regarding it.
As always, love you guys, and I'll catch you later!
as I'm sure you've already seen from my most recent uploads, I have started working on a new series. This series is based on my story series revolving around Dr. Locklear. I figured I should make a statement answering some of the common questions I've been getting so far.
1. This new story is entirely unrelated to "The Seer". All lore related to Dr. Locklear will be coming from his series of stories, not from his brief cameo in "The Seer". If you're curious to know more about Locklear, I'd recommend listening to his stories. This comic will be more of a "Slice of Life" style in between major events in the stories, so for a more in depth explanation of certain character backstories or events mentioned lightly in flashbacks, you can learn about it in depth in the stories!
Story 1 Part 1
Story 1 Part 2
Story 2 Part 1
Story 2 Part 2
Story 2 Part 3
Story 3 Part 1
Story 3 Part 2
2. Even though I'm pushing myself to start drawing again, The Seer is still remaining shelved at this time. I originally created the series nearly 4 years ago when I was younger, back in school, with many different interests. I've grown, changed, and my inspiration that once pushed me to create that series has yet to return. Rather than force myself to draw something I'm not inspired about, (which would lead me to stop drawing altogether again) I decided to push myself to start a new series that DOES currently inspire me to work!
3. Despite The Seer being on the shelf, you will still be able to follow Korbyn on new adventures. My friend Promptus has received my blessing to blend Korbyn and parts of the Seer story line into her own comic, "Beast of Blood". This story is set years after the events of the Seer were supposed to end. Chapter 2 of B.o.B. will consist of a series of flashbacks filling in the necessary blanks to bring you all up to speed. Then you can follow a slightly older Korbyn and the other pasta monsters on some new adventures! (It's not exactly the same, I know. But I hope this will be a decent compromise while The Seer is shelved.)
4. The reason I don't allow dubbing of this Locklear series is because I'll likely be taking that up myself when I've got enough pages, and having multiple dubs creates confusion and infighting over preferred voices.
I hope this answered the majority of your questions. If you've got any others I've missed, here is the place to leave them! I'm happy to be back here drawing regularly again. I sincerely hope you will all enjoy following Locklear through his various twisted antics that are to come!
That's all for now~
It's honestly been quite a while since I've been on here. Over the last year a lot of stuff has changed for me. It's no mystery that I haven't been posting anything art related for a LONG time. Well the truth is, I went through a period where things got a little rough for me and I completely lost my inspiration to draw. And I mean completely. I haven't drawn a single thing this entire past year because my inspiration was seemingly sucked right out of me. However, I'm happy to say that over the past week I've finally started doodling again. It's nothing impressive, but it's progress.
Things have been turbulent in my life, and so much has changed. Not all of it bad, by any means. Many big scary changes have been great for me! However, as time passed and I grew I quickly realized that I can't go back to the same headspace I was in three years ago. I'm not that person anymore.
I've talked about this several times on my Youtube channel, but I finally wanted to say something about it here. As far as "The Seer" goes, I am officially shelving the project. I am currently at a place in my life where I can no longer sustain writing, drawing, editing, and recording a long lasting web series on top of my two other jobs. Especially not with my currently wuthering relationship with art and drawing. I hate to have to leave you guys hanging, but I'd rather just be honest and tell you that I am no longer able to keep it going.
Now that aside, I do plan on becoming more active here once again. I'm trying to ween myself back into drawing, and will now be focusing on Horror as a broader genre than just Creepypasta. I will also be sharing my cosplay work with you here, and some other goodies as well.
I'm happy to finally be back here, and I hope that this will be a fun, healthy new beginning to my reintroduction to this site. I love you guys!!
I wanted to make a special journal entry for my brand new song! (Just uploaded it this morning!)
This song is very exciting for me because it was a collaborative effort between Myuuji and I. I've looked up to him musically since I started Youtube, and since then he's become a very dear friend.❤❤ Working on this project with him was a blast. I can finally say my music senpai has noticed me. I hope you guys enjoy this one almost as much as I enjoyed working on it. The piano composition and male vocals are by Myuuji. Please check out his page too!
Also, here's Myuu's beautifully haunting piano version! Show him some love for me!❤
I realize it's been a while since I've been back here. So much had been going down in the community that I just needed to take a step away. The good news is, in the time that's passed, many things have smoothed over. However, in this time I've also found myself growing and moving on to other things that make me happier. As of late I've really started to get passionate about composing music! I've got a music dump incoming for you guys!
However, on the more somber note I wanted to let you all know that for the time being, production of "The Seer" is on hiatus. Though things are back to being great between nearly all of the voice staff, there's just too many memories of strife to think about working on the project at the moment. Not to mention this silly little comic was something I dreamed up three years ago in college, and I've sort of grown out of it now. That being said I'm not straight up cancelling the project. It's just that at this moment in time I need to take a breather and focus on the things that make me happy. I hope you all can be understanding of that!
In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy the musical shenanigans of myself and my many spooky friends like MCP and Muse of Discord. As always, I'll see you again next time! <3
Hey guys! So this month has been a really productive one as far as original music goes!
First off, we have my Five Nights at Freddy's based song!
And most recently, we have my collaboration with Ashe, in the song "God Syndrome" based off of none other than Doctor Locklear himself!
Hope you guys enjoy the music! Next up will be working on putting together the next episode
That's all for now!
If you're curious about the man behind the music, you can check out this interview with my friend Myuuji, the composer responsible for the vast majority of the music you hear behind most creepypasta narrations! :0
*insert shameless promotion because he's hella talented and not well enough known*
So as some of you know, I've been venturing into making original music and creepypasta themed songs. Well I've currently finished composing another, and am in the process of creating a video to go along with it. (I'm actually going to make a proper video this time, not just lyrics).
However, currently I'm using a VOCALOID to fill in the vocals, but I'm not sure I'm satisfied with it. So I figured I would put out a general inquiry here. I am looking for a male vocalist who thinks they've got what it takes to star in a creepypasta themed song that will be posted on my main channel for the world to see. You would be credited both in the video description with links to your social media, as well as noted in the video itself. If you are an aspiring singer and are looking for an opportunity to get better known in the online scope, this could be an amazing promotional opportunity for you, not to mention portfolio building.
If you are interested in trying out for this opportunity, please link me to some examples of your singing. (You can comment in this journal or contact me via tumblr) I haven't picked a deadline yet, as it's going to take a while to finish the video anyways, but I will publicly announce when a singer has been selected, and I will personally contact you.
Well, that's all for now my friends!
*Edit: Thanks to everyone who came! The stream was a blast!
Hey guys! It's been quite some time since I did a livestream, so I'm happy to say that I'm holding another one! I'll be working on Page 56, as well as hosting a skype call with a few friends. You're more than welcome to swing by and hang out with us!
I'm sure many of you know the music used by the creepypasta narrators quite well by now. All that creepy ambiance and those sad melodies we use to build up our stories. Well if you weren't already aware, most of these pieces can be attributed to the excellent composer and pianist Myuuji.
Myuuji is kind enough to offer his music to be used royalty free, which really helps us narrators out! (I've even used his stuff in "The Seer"!) However, he recently released his first album "The Dark Piano" across various platforms for purchase. In this album he's remastered all the pieces to perfection, and even included some exclusive bonus tracks!
If you're a fan of all the creepy and emotional pieces you hear while listening to your favorite narrators read, I highly recommend checking it out! By purchasing the album, you are helping make it possible for him to continue offering his music royalty free. By helping him out, not only are you getting an awesome album to enjoy, but you are also helping out the entire community, as his music really does play a big role in so many ways. I mean, imagine us reading your favorite creepypastas with no music to build ambiance. Or worse, unfitting, not at all creepy music that we'd be forced to use because it's the only royalty free stuff we could find. Yikes. Now THAT'S scary.
Anyways, I'd encourage you to subscribe to his channel and buy the album if you're able to. It helps him, as an amazing artist, and the community as a whole.
(He's also working on getting it up on Amazon and Spotify as well)
That's all for now
Hey guys! I'm streaming and drawing right now! Feel free to pop in if you like! MCP will be there for a little while 0w0
Thank you to all who joined! It was a blast! Maybe I'll stream more in the future, or have a google hangout with MCP and the likes. Until next time~
We're happy to bring you the latest update video featuring Mr. Creepypasta and the gang. You can check it out here!
It's been over a year in the making, and over that time everyone involved with this project has gained so much more experience, not to mention our equipment is sooo much better now! We'd like to put that experience to use and update the old episodes to a newer, higher quality for you to enjoy! We won't be getting rid of any of the old episodes, so you'll still be able to watch those if you like. But over the course of the next few months, we'll be focusing on bringing a fresh new spin to all the old episodes you guys know and love, and you can bet we'll have a bunch of new outros and bloopers for you guys!
That's all for now!
Thank you so much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! It really means so much to me. I wish I could respond to each and everyone of you individually, but unfortunately I'm running out of time and there's still so many of you left! So I thought I'd take a moment to write this to thank all of you at once. You really have no idea how much your friendship and support means to me. You are all amazing and I am forever grateful to have you all. Thanks for making this birthday one of the best! ;w;
