Balloon Man Powered Up 2016

Back in the early 90's, Nintendo Power ran a contest to create new robot masters. They said they would print their favorites and that a few might actually be used in an upcoming mega man game! I was super excited about this contest and I seriously must have entered about fifteen characters.

Balloon Man was one of those characters, and when Issue 44 of Nintendo Power arrived at my house, I was absolutely blown away to see that one of my creations was featured in the magazine. Looking back on it, mine is probably the worst of the bunch that were printed, lol.

Every few years I revisit this character and try to draw him in a new way. This time I decided to do him in a sort of chibi/mega man powered up style.
