This makes our faith and optimism the negotiators between our desire to learn and improve and our fears of failure or doubts about our own abilities and worthiness. It is important to keep sight of the big picture now, even while tending to the finer details of what we are learning, and avoid falling into the trap of perfectionism. Slow and steady progress is still progress.
