Mercury conjoins Chiron in Aries at 6:42am PDT, then conjoins the Sun at 4:11pm. This "cazimi" period when Mercury is considered to be "in the heart of the Sun" is a time of purification for our thoughts and communication, a time when excess is burned away, and the planet is considered to operate in its truest state. With Mercury conjoining both Chiron and the Sun in short order, we are being given the opportunity to heal our mental patterns, particularly those concerning our identity and our independence.
