Lake Munmorah and Norah Head

Tue Jul 3, 2007, 1:49 AM
Visiting Aaron last weekend brought lots of fruit, not only we got to talk about all aspects of photography (his views are slightly different to mine but we both share the joy and feel of photography through our hearts) but got to create photographs that were different as anything that we did before.

Someone would call it "two crazy photographers".

The schedule was simple: shoot the sunset, play with nitght shots, talk as much as possible, get little sleep, wake up at 5.30am to get the sunrise, shoot, shoot shoot..

In other words, I am already looking forward to meet him again;)

It was also the first time I got to work with my new dedicated panoramic head and cokin filters. Great things that helped me to create better photographs.

..see it yourself and tell me if you like them or not. The set consists of night photographs, early morning above the lighthouse and after that photographs from below the lighthouse - I think they are the best from this set. Will upload them soon;-)

5 am is the only time to rise.... careful.. it will get to be a habit.... evening is no good on the east coast anyway as we don't get sunsets with water.

;-) actually, I am looking forward to make that a habit and to become early bird (or night bird:-)) as I am starting a big project and I can't get to the location after work because it's already dark but I should have enough time before I start in the morning:)

Otherwise, yes, you are right. No sunset in water, bah! WA is heaps better for this. But I was never able to wake up in the morning in any normal day (when I am in Sydney) and I tried to stay awake whole night once but at about 4am I could see only haze with my tired eyes so there was no point to try to stay alive..

..but again, I am still not pure blooded photographer yet;) Getting there...!!
