You mentioned this model is exported from Rhino, would it be possible to download the original Rhino file as I don't have 3DSMax but would still love to practise rendering this great model.

thank you, as i look at your beautiful renders i am sure you could make this model really shine! unfortunately i never assembled the separate sections i worked on into a single .3dm file... i guess it would would be about 30-40mb large (compressed). can't you just use some trial version of 3dsmax to export the mesh to the desirable format, or you need the nurbs geometry? (does anybody even use rhino for rendering anyway?)

Admittedly I don't specifically need the Rhino nurbs but I just can't open .max files. I use a Mac so a 3DSMax trial is not an option for me. Is there any other file format that it would be acceptable to export to? Eg .obj .stl .vrml etc? I can support almost anything except .max. Thanks.

Can i change the mesh in any way? Will you allow? Thx in advance :)

Of course! Modify the geometry any way you like! I'm affraid the mesh itself is not easy editable since it is exported from rhino-nurbs and is quite high-poly :(
