[Kuku] Sunbearing and Swelter
Emerald fur bristles under the weight of the presence just behind him. Vidar came out into the vast savannah stretching wide to the south from his usual stomping grounds for a change of scenery. Having hoped the late summer sun bearing down its midday heat would deter any who may deign themselves to follow him. His nature always has often attracted… unwanted attention. But today's a pair of eyes were too much to bear even to his vast ocean of patience. Especially when one insists on tailing him so closely as he is. The offending presence was a rook set to fit right in to his environment. His coat is much reminiscent of that of an African Wild Dog, with the hateful gaze of Life upon him, the rook also had the personality to match. Well, it would match if he was thinking of a pup. A pup wearing a long set of curved horns to match his goatish behavior. Yes that image fits this whelpling perfectly. You see, the current male following him wasn't an unknown face. As unfortunate as it
"No, shut up! I'm going to do it!" A voice calls out as it arcs over hill after hill of rolling knolls in the crisp afternoon sunlight. Its owner, a female aerial, is taking full advantage of the wind snaking through the area. Making gliding on the breeze as easy as breathing. Behind her stalks the heavy footsteps of a golden prairie. Another dove from the same loaf as her former. Despite her form, she has no trouble in keeping up with her feathered friend. Even once using her horns to push her even higher. "I never said you couldn't." She clarifies while still pursuing the pearl dove. "I just said it's not the best addition to a fruit salad." "Salad shmalad, you said it was too sour." She arcs her tail feathers to drift just above her friend's head. "That sounds like a challenge to me!" "Just don't forget about the spicy challenge from three weeks ago!" Alice, the amber kukuri following her, calls out after her as she speeds on ahead. The event in question was a series of
A symphony of cricket song filled the air. Marking the end of another hot and humid day gone past. Carefully, an entourage of fluff and feathers trudge their way over a sea of fallen sticks. Their noses ripe with the smell of damp, rotting leaf litter. Come autumn, this forest should have a plethora of mushrooms to harvest. But unless they get home soon, they may not live to see autumn at all. "Hymn…" Mirelle, a pearl aerial dove of elegant feathers and less than elegant attitude, shakes off leaves stuck to her talons. She really wasn't made for the ground, but seeing as she couldn't see through the dark of night, she was forced to endure. "Hymn, I don't think this is the way back." Her voice was both unsure and apprehensive. They had been walking for hours on what should have been a half hour trip. "It's dark and I'm hungry and I don't want to be here anymore!" Her whining started again. Earning her the tip of a tail slapping gently at her nose. The owner of the animated tail

[Kuku] Together, As Ordained by Fate
A warm summer's breeze marked the end of this day's daunting heat, as the sun rescinds herself to her cozy blanket of earth. There were quite a few kukuri awake at this hour. Most of which primarily sought out desirable plants that only bloom in the dusk light. The somewhat timid pearl would have to move quickly if she was to beat her competition to what she sought first. One of her loaf, a new member freshly hatched, had come down with a fever shortly after tasting its first gulp of air. Lunala, who was known as the loaf's unofficial matriarch for good reason, took it upon herself to journey alone to find the ingredients for medicine. Citing she could move much quicker on her own, she left any form of protection behind to stalwartly protect the fragile young. She catches her breath in the rocky underhang of a short tunnel carved out by an ancient tree root that had long since rotted away. It gives her the pause needed for a glimmer to catch her eyes. Dancing Bells. It wasn't quite
