“Are you sure we aren't in too deep?” “Please.” The pearl rook, enveloped by the soft glow on his coat from his natural bioluminescent spots, smiles as he carefully places his steps on the incline before them. “We could go much, much deeper than this and still make it back before supper.” Khnurn turns to look at the other rook with a confidence to rival his greenhorn insecurities. “You'll find that this route it's steep enough to be deep. Think of it as a leisurely walk underground.” “If you say so.” Jyreth, the other rook, was a faux pearl due to his genes covering his amber coat and twice the size of Khnurn. The two had come across each other by chance when, during one of his escapades, he had found the prairie indulging a hidden curiosity for his favorite subject. He couldn't fault Jyreth for being overly cautious. Unlike him, he never had a teacher. Before now that is. It didn't take much convincing to want to give him some of Ira's wealth of knowledge that had been passed
Panicked screams clenched the air tightly as it fills all surrounding ears with its song of malice. Chandraneel needs to stay on awares through the sirenous sounds as debris and bodies alike fall around the fleeing conglomerate of fluffy forms. Her loaf has joined with those leading the fray towards safety. While some have chosen to join the cascading water filling the sky as the rage of an unsatiated blood goddess seizes their peace. She is amongst the many using their own bodies as shields for the helpless. In her case, the elderly. Okko is taken aback by the sudden change in current around her as those under her charge collide with her in fearful heel turn. Before she could cry out to question the matter, its form slithers into view. A twisted being that once may have been an aerial kukuri. A mockery meant to no doubt play on Death's sympathies as well as a reminder to all living kukuri the importance of her gift. This oozing and twitching remant has been denied all freedom and
The dawn had barely crested over the horizon when she felt the rumbling. The tremors knocking over precious caches of medicine and shattering their vessels on the loomy flooring of her tree trunk home. The thin pottery crashing down on her cranium shot the lead kukuri awake as salve dripped down her antlers and threatened her eyes. Shaking and wiping her face free from the oils netted her attention to the splashing just below her resting form. Water? She thought to herself as her eyes spied her hollow quickly flooding. The foamy liquid smelled of brine. That's impossible. We're nowhere near the ocean. And yet, as if to spite her, a swell of it sloshed in her face and forced her to sputter the salty seawater. Something that quickly brought her to her feet. When she emerged to see out into the morning light, she found her loaf in equal surprise and growing panic. Pups and miniatures alike were being snatched from below to save them from another strong wave of ocean water hitting

[Kuku] Sunbearing and Swelter
Emerald fur bristles under the weight of the presence just behind him. Vidar came out into the vast savannah stretching wide to the south from his usual stomping grounds for a change of scenery. The offending presence was a rook set to fit right in to his environment. His coat is much reminiscent of that of an African Wild Dog, with the hateful gaze of Life upon him, the rook also had the personality to match. Well, it would match if he was thinking of a pup. A pup wearing a long set of curved horns to match his goatish behavior. Yes that image fits this whelpling perfectly. You see, the current male following him wasn't an unknown face. As unfortunate as it
